Ya damn right it is when it comes to the head football coach!!!

Liberal academic........need I say more?
Not exactly. In fact, the liberal academics' knock on Alexander is that he's not a liberal academic.

I can guarantee you that Alexander is far from short sighted
You have limited knowledge regarding the various factors that led to his decision and yes, you can continue to bitch about it but at the end of the day all that makes you is a bitch

Wow. I don't know what damage this dude has caused already but it sounds like he's just getting started... frick!!!

Our academics fought his hiring, then they fought to censure him mishandling a professor's firing. He acted like an idiot in front of legislature and gave the entire country the idea that we are broke. Now he's screwing with the success of the engine of LSU sports. Something that actually makes money for the university. This is in a two year span.
If he remains in charge we will be more fricked in the future than we are today.

So I guess firing Miles would be impossible considering the fact that Alleva isn't from Louisiana.
You are a fricking idiot, btw.

I understand his poor us routine to the legislature which is complete and utter bullshite. Now he is going to piss off even more donors than he already has, and finally it's his duty to get everyone pulling in one direction which obviously didn't occur in this situation. So he's a complete and utter failure in my book.

Apparently he's somebody with a moral conscience. He should have been here in February 2013 to nix the deal that gave Les Miles his ridiculous contract extension and buyout guarantees.
We are being held hostage by somebody who shouldn't be our coach and probably has only about 20% support among LSU fans because it's too expensive to get rid of him.

I also know that I had to give him directions to the student union one day (after he had been at LSU for over a year)
You know how I know you're lying?

He should not have veto power because the Athletic department supports academics not the other way around. LSU\ AD gets no tax money and give millions to academics.

And why the F does he have veto power over something he knows nothing about?
He's the president of the university, and he has veto power "over something he knows nothing about" because he's the president of the university.

Its amazing how many of you have no clue how higher education works.

He's the first LSU president in my lifetime that has made a decision that so clearly harms the university in such a public way.

LSU football should keep the 7 million they give back to the university every year. F--- KING

Are we talking about the same dumbass who pissed on many boosters last year after they ponied up the money to build the nutrition center and he put the nix on it due to the budget issue?

I realize that but shouldn't it be up for a vote before the board of supervisors? Instead of being left up to one person who's not even from here?
Are you serious?

Were you in a coma when Lombardi was here?

You do realize that as a fund raising arm of the university, TAF is not independent but is under the supervision of the President of the institution. Understand, that if TAF was as independent as you want it to be, then LSU's accreditation would be in jeopardy.
