You think Melvin Oliver was better than Tyson Jackson?
Posted on 12/10/16 at 7:56 pm to Lester Earl
John Garlington, awhile ago but still one of the best to ever play the position.

No love for John Adams or A. J. Duhe?
Posted on 12/10/16 at 8:20 pm to Freddy238
My favorite to watch play was Montgomery
Posted on 12/10/16 at 8:30 pm to Freddy238
Best ever was Leonard Marshall, All-Pro with the NY Giants and one reason that Lawrence Taylor got so many sacks.
A.J. Duhe', Roland Barbay, and Michael Brockers all played tackle at LSU.

He was far more productive. Better is subjective.
Oliver had over 26 tfl and 20 sacks in his lsu career.
You're letting tyson jackson's draft spot influence your opinion.

you can't really just use stats here without knowing his role and how he was used. Pellini made tyson play contain on his side very often while the other side rushed if you go back and watch the games. It definitely affected his stats. Wasn't his fault. he did what he was asked to do. controlled his gap and contained. wasn't asked to be a penetrator or crazy pass rusher.
