Don't worry. There is no need to play senior quarterback Jarrett Lee who had 17 TD and 3 int and is 8-0 as a starter.
the same Jarrett Lee who fell to absolute pieces under the Alabama defense in the first game.

quote:This is the horror and the irony of it all. Our defense had kept us in the game and there was ample time to turn it around. Unless there remains some heretofore unknown, unspoken reason why JL was ineligible to play (and *CLM chooses to let his reason remain unspoken/unknown) the fact that JJ was left in beyond this point in the game defies all logic. Clearly, JJ was toast and done. Even then, we had Mett on the bench as well - but he also was left hanging on the line. Why? But yes, you are right...
there was 7 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter...for some reason i thought it was much later in the game when that occurred...we still had time...
quote:Or Mett.
that was the time to put in Lee

The best play is when JJ pitches it right to the defender and blames a nearby teammate

Yes we do. For all those that pumped Jefferson for 4 years, those of us that told you so get to make jokes about it for 4 more years.

For what it's worth, there were just as many fans pumping Lee for those years also and you can see how that turned out when he played in the first game against Bama during the regular season. Mett may have been a legitmate option though, but hard to just throw him in against a Bama team that was physically whipping the snot out of us in the NC game.

I like this recent comment:
"Second, let's remember that if the LSU quarterback position does require a "different breed of cat," the evidence of the past few years is that this isn't the sort of breed anyone's going to take to whatever the cat equivalent of Westminster is. For four years Miles played musical quarterbacks with Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee, a span in which his team averaged a 95th-place finish in FBS passing yardage and a 61st-place finish in passer rating. And of course, Miles's response to the best stretch of play either quarterback enjoyed in those four years -- Lee's highly efficient start to the 2011 season -- was to bench him at the first opportunity and hand the reins to the player who would average 2.8 yards per his 30 attempts in the team's SEC and BCS championship appearances."

I watched it when it replayed the other day, I laughed the whole fricking time, that game was a joke.

Was at the game util 1:29 and when I got home I erased the Dish recording. Never to watch it again. What a waste of a flawless season, I mean the way we played it sucked. Embarressment.
I look forward to the day JJ is just a bad memory.
