To start and lead us through the season with the best chance of being successful (with this current team and coaching staff)... Herb Tyler, Rohan Davey, Matt Mauck, JaMarcus Russell, Matt Flynn?

Taking Mett out of the conversation.

1. JR
2. Rohan
3. Mauck
4. Herb Tyler
5. Flynn

That's a hard list for me because I really enjoyed watching all 5 of those QBs. Herb doesn't get a lot of credit, but I liked his game.

I think I agree here

Mixing in a little option with Tyler would be interesting.

3 and 5 both won BCSNC. It's a team game dickhead.

Are you suggesting then that Flynn was the worst team player of the 5?

Dickhead comment is not necessary. It's a conversation. I know a lot of people that think there is no way JR takes the Tigers to the title game in 07.

4. Tyler
5. Mauck

That's the order I'd take them.

TOMMY HODSON, best QB at LSU since Bert Jones. With him at QB the last couple of years, tigers would be going for THREEPEAT.

Mauck, ultimate team leader
Jamarcus, unreal physical speciman
Rohan, one of my alltime favorites
Flynn, very good QB
Herb, would like to see what he could do running the option with our RBs these last few years

Russell without question had most talent of that group but I would pick Flynn and Mauck before him.

Winning games and championships matter more than how hard or far than you can throw the ball. Both Flynn and Mauck were leaders on championship teams.

I'll take that kind of leadership over arm strength.

Speculative and IMO silly to suggest.

On such a sensible and serious topic I might add.

Love the offseason daydream threads.
