Up 1 run bottom 9 vs FSU Saturday. Lange pitched a hell of a game and you gotta put in Hess or Newman. What says the rant?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he's not eligible. He was born in September, so that would make him not a draft-eligible sophomore.

ETA: I prefer jimbeam's response.

Thread will get whacked for non-descriptive title.

Sounds right to me: born September 9, 1996 in Lafayette, La.

I'm wondering why he wasn't drafted?

MLB tends to frown upon disregarding the eligibility requirements when making selections.

Are we the home team? If so, just shake their hands and say good game...

If we are up by 1 run in the bottom of the 9th Saturday, against FSU, I will be one happy MFer.

Assuming you meant top of the 9th, id say i put hess in with 2 outs in the 8th to see if he has his stuff, then if he does, im letting him take the 9th

I'd prob go with Hess at this point but would feel more than comfortable with either.

It seems that Hess has assumed the closer role with Newman siding into the 8th inning set up role.
