I guess the lee jj thing just has me pessimistic about this. Les obviously played favorites in that situation.

as much as I hate to say it. Jennings is now entrenched in the Job. It will take an injury, suspension or a blow out to change that

Yep. Miles has made up his mind. Downvote all you want, but when Harris realizes he will ride the bench for 2 more years, he will transfer. That will happen when he sees he gets no PT no matter how bad AJ is.

Don't know who will start but the receivers need to catch the balls they are thrown, not drop them.

History with miles says no he will not play. Burger said on the sec network right b4 season started that Harris was clearly the better qb. There will never b a heisman winner on offense of a miles team. He tends to hold a better player down to a average player.

I do. He is the better talent and if they can't get him ready by that time there is a more serious problem than we thought.

I was just going back and watching some of Harris' highlights, and he's so much better it's not even funny. Yeah it was mostly NMSU and MSU scrubs, but Jennings didn't even look that good against Sam Houston or ULM.

If Harris doesn't start next year, it'll be a travesty.

I believe 100% that he SHOULD be....

Will he? No idea. I don't think eh would start game 1. But I think he will end up being the starter at some point... I would put my certainty at 65% of that.

Why? Because Jennings is horrible and has shown that he has not improved from last year to this year and hasn't shown anything that would make him the starter next year. He's bad at everything except a deep ball touch pass... And everyone knows that and game plans to take it away, especially to Dural.

No chance. The only film they have on him against quality competition is against Auburn. If they won't play him the rest of this season except due to injury, I don't see how he can start to begin next season. He would essentially have to go through what Jennings is going through now. I think it can only happen if he does it on the field and not in practice. Certainly, Jennings is not going to just give him that opportunity. As long as he can keep him off the field, he can stay in control at the QB position.

I do, because the coaches want him to be the starter but he's just not ready this year. It was obvious.

In the ULM game it was obvious Jennings wasn't ready either. Also, the same could be said for the MSU game. The truth, IMO, is that he'll never be ready until he gets more time against SEC opponents. The playbook was an issue but less so than just waking up and settling down against a good opponent. You only overcome that on the field, because you don't get hit hard in practice. There aren't 100K fans screaming in practice. The game is much faster when it matters. It affected 5th year senior Blake Sims against tougher opponents, but he was given the opportunity to adjust to it.

Btw,absent injury, I don't believe he'll play in the wintery mix predicted this weekend. That leaves only 1 more game. That means the experience gap will widen even more. I hope he stays but the math leads me to believe otherwise.

A.J. had a disaster game and got the opportunity to play again. Harris had a disaster game and he was relegated to a couple of end of game hand-offs, a safe pass attempt, and a knee.

I'd love to see them get him going, but how do you take it away from a guy who has been through the fire for a full season regardless of skill set.

Lets just talk hypotheticals...LSU finished 9-3 and say beats Notre Dame in the Belk Bowl. Say Bama loses to Miss St, then loses a bowl game that they are not interested in being in and both finish 10-3. It certainly had an advantage on the recruiting trail then ending at beast 8-5.

No, in terms of Ws and Ls next year, it isn't a big difference, but in terms of perception and recruiting it does.

None of that means very much. If recruits see Brandon Harris out there passing the ball, motivating the team, nothing else matters nearly as much.

They will start the bowl practices and again in the spring dead even. Whoever wins the job wins the job. IMHO the upside of Harris will give him the nod. If he's the guy he will get his chance.

I'm thinking it's time to just cut our losses with him at least for this year and try to see exactly what we have in Harris in these last two games.
But that would suggest Les would even seriously consider starting Harris next year. AJ=JJ, which means he is "it" in Miles' mind. And no matter how much better Harris gets, or what potential development he could demonstrate, Les is going to do what Les does with his QBs. Man never changes.

Of all of the tired, parroted narratives on the Rant, this one might be the most tired and parroted.
