I would like to see an attendance requirement for a season ticket holder for that person to able to renew his season tickets. Something reasonable, like the tickets must be used for at least 75% of the home games in order to renew.

Yeah. LSU's gonna piss off the big donors by telling them they HAVE to attend the games. Look how empty the gold seats are week in week out. They only fill up during regionals and supers.

And I would call these people casual fans.
More like "spoiled."

If a ticket usage reqiurement came with the ticket licensing agreement in order to renew, that would solve the situation. Some turnover in the season ticket holder base would probably be healthy for the program.

Wrong. They don't have to attend the games.

Only that their tickets must be used for a minimum percent of the games.

That would give them an incentive to at least give some of their tickets to someone who wants to attend.

This is not just LSU baseball fans. It's LSU fans generally. They think LSU should win all contests all the time. Bozos. It has gotten pathetic.

It's all I can do to watch when sitting in club seats, going to watch an inning here are there from the couches is necessary for my sanity . I turn down bleachers and grand stand tix every game. I'm a baseball guy from way back . This is a miserable brand of baseball. That being said the joe blows are not showing up because they aren't being entertained. They are football fans first and foremost that like to stand up and cheer often because everyone else is doing it. No standing and cheering every inning....no marginal fans. Soccer with gloves is what it has become.

That explains the 3,858 no shows Friday night

BTW, I agree they've damaged the game. I say leave the ball alone so the pitchers can make it dance, just give us back the 90's bat so the batters can crush it...

Link?

Scheduling UNO/Grambling/Yale/Purdue ooc doesnt seem like something an administration desperate for actual attendance would do.

I give tickets away.

I cannot force those who are given tickets to attend the games any more than LSU can tell me that I have to attend.

Life happens and people cannot attend for whatever reason. People are getting ready for graduations, attending FQF, Jazz Fest and other things. I pay for my tickets, tradition funds, make donations to TAF and LSU is not going to tell me my butt (or anyone else's) is going to be in the stands for any amount of games.

It's not going to happen.

They were.

Or, at least there were numerous posts complaining about the chronic no shows last year. In fact, those posts have shown up every season going back several years.

Fail on your part.

I'll be interested to see what taking away a majority of the CST games does to attendance next year.

If I can catch a game at a bar with a few friends and eat/drink/talk baseball throughout it's a much better experience than what you're getting out at the box anyway.

Take away that option, and I have a feeling it'll drive more people to the gates.

at thinking LSU cares ONLY about tickets sold. You can bet your arse they want butts in the seats as well. I can see them wanting to increase actual attendance. Maybe tie season ticket holder attendance to TAF "bonus points"?
