1983 - coincidentally it was a Northwestern State home game against an opponent I can't recall.
I've never attended an FBS (or Division I-A) game without LSU in it.
I will be going to a few Louisiana College games because I have 2 daughters in the marching band.

NSU v. Pensacola Navy.
PN's QB was Roger Staubach, but he only went through pre-game warm ups and never actually played.
NSU had a safety named Al Dodd who later played for the Saints.

Nicholls vs. Jacksonville state two years ago.

NC State Vs Clemson, at Clemson.
Clemson tailgating felt like a church social vs LSU tailgating being more like an outdoor cocktail party or something similar.
LSU is the best gameday experience I've had.
Bar none.

Seems like a bunch of people go to Sugar Bowls when LSU is not in it. I almost went down for the heck of it this year, but decided not to at the last minute (CSB)...

i went to the last 6 Independence Bowls, so i guess Air Force/Ga Tech.

Last Thursday night...I've got season tickets for University of South Alabama...this is our 3rd year and we are undefeated so far (18-0). One more game before our first huge test...our 1st division 1 (FBS?) opponent, an away game at NC State...probably in for a butt-whopping but oh thats the only way to get better!
