Well unfortunately I grew up in Oxford, and I can speak for them. The LSU/Ole Miss rivalry is definitely the biggest game to them. Bigger than the Egg Bowl. Halloween '59. Doesn't matter who is contending for what, that game generally always generates sparks. First ever game was LSU v Ole Miss 03. Best game I have ever seen in my life. I was an LSU fan from that day on.

It's Ole Miss, ppl.

Aggy is bound to win one. They will start to replace OM at that point. Our ppl interact more with their ppl in the world, and they are miserable to listen to even when you've beaten them.

They can Geaux to Hell.
Their tent city in the Grove can Geaux to Hell too.
Maybe they can hang their 2003 Co-SEC West Champs banner in Hell, too.

Lsu does not have a rival. Oh sure, people call Ole Miss a rival, but that is only based on the early years...1958 plus and minus.

Bama feels like a rival because of the Saban factor and because there always seems to be a lot riding on the game, and I ain't talking about a Boot.

This is grounds for a perma-ban, IMHO.

You are giving them too much credit . It would be cheeky enough to put up sign stating co champs however their sign does not use the word "co"

Historically - Ole Miss
Renewed rivalry - Texas A&M
Past rivalry - Onelane Slime

alashama doesn't deserve to be called LSU's rival.
That state could fall into the Gulf for all I care.

Tennessee has fielded 1 competitive team in 10 years. I'm pretty sure Bama still thinks the rivalry exists.
At least this guy thinks so...

1. Alabama, since Nicky took over there and are the main competition in the SEC West
2. Texas A&M now, since they finally beat us, and are now in the SEC West
3. Auburn before that, since we've had to compete with them for the West title so much before Nicky got to Bama.
4. Ole Miss, since they were a good team 50 years ago and competed with us then, and there seems to still be some old - timers around who remember that. Also because Ole Miss thinks it's a rivalry, and occasionally they pull off the upset.

no primary rival

Tulane and Ole Miss used to be the closest thing, more recently games against Auburn, Florida, Alabama, and now A&M are probably closer

What do you mean? They have not beaten us since the 1990's?

Damn, that was clever.

I'm going with Bama. It's obvious.

All these old fellers here (no disrespect, just jabbing at ya) value the days when Mississippi schools were top competition. It's a different era, though. We're kicking arse and Bama is our true test every year.

It'll change again, too. I'm sure the Mississippi days will return.
