LSU in-stadium drinking age would need to be 50 to keep the rantards at bay. Just look at the idiots on this board. Put them in a stadium still drunk in the 4th quarter and you have a serious problem.

I have heard through the grapevine that the LSU AD thinks there literally isn't enough room in the stadium storage areas to justify having beer in the stadium. Not sure if they mean enough to meet the demand or no room at all.

I hear they're gonna start selling beer after halftime so some people stick around to watch the second half.

Why doesn't LSU?

Because it would be about the dumbest thing LSU could do.

If people want to drink during the games, I hope they would stay home. I have to deal with too many drunks in the stadium already.

If drinking remains confined to premium seating areas, it should not only not be a problem, but an incentive to sales of such seats.

Edit: I realize how much alcohol is smuggled in.

It currently is confined to 'premium seating'

Yes.

Edit: My fault for wording the other post badly.

It would cut down on binge drinking

West Virginia has done it and their alcohol related incidents have dropped dramatically

And they quit selling in the 4th quarter.

Could you imagine the lines at the concession and the restroom if beer were served?

I read here on SEC Rant that Arkansas just approved beer for their games. I believe last week.

"It's easier to control," said LSU Associate Vice Chancellor Herb Vincent. "It's a game management issue." Vincent says because none of the other schools in the Southeastern Conference allow alcohol in general seating[/quote]

Herb Vincent is so full of shite. The only reason that booze is allowed in the suites is to keep the high rollers happy so he can keep the big bucks rolling in. Whether selling alcohol to the great unwashed in the lower bowl is a good or bad idea is a discussion for another day.
