It's irrelevant because JJ will start another season of under performing. Mett will not play much with JJ still here.

x 10000000000000

I really don't know why anyone who has watched LSU under CLM would think Mett playing is even a possibility. JJ will be the starter.

what is the worst rank our offense could have and still be good enough considering that we have recruited yet another QB?

Win a title and this will not matter.

next year for Crowton to not get canned and Miles with him for keeping him around? They finished the regular season in the 80's this year... with two five star wide reciever's probably playing their last years next year... what is the worst rank our offense could have and still be good enough considering that we have recruited yet another QB?

Gary Crowton better field a damn good offense in 2011. I'm sick of LSU being a joke offensively for 3 years, it is damaging to the program and it hurts recruiting.

Team record and ppg are much more important than the offnensive ypg rank. So is TD pass to INT ratio for all the QB's. That being said, with an expected improvement in the Oline and running game, quality receivers to throw to, I'd be surprised if they aren't at least in the top 50. A top 50 offense with this year's defense would likely have put the team in the BCSNCG fwiw.

I'll say it once again, LSU had a good season this season, but for a season that caught Florida with their pants down reloading and Alabama finishing with three (maybe four) losses, LSU's offense left more to be desired. Second highest average recruiting class over the past five years, Florida, Bama, Georgia, Ole Miss and Tenn all having sub-par years, makes me think yeah, 10-2 is great, but we won't have many shots like we had this year, in this league.

I get it. If LSU wins it is because the other teams have had a bad year or LSU got lucky.
Nothing LSU does is earned?

If Mett is going to be the man in 2012, then he should be starting in 2011, because we have a defense that should be able to compensate for some rookie mistakes and atleast we'll see something resembling an offense.

And if he falters? If Mett isn't the new Cam Newton? What then? How fast will you negative arse holas turn on him? How loud will you little whinney babies be crying then? When will you idiots admit that you don't know aything about football and are nothing but a bunch of kindergarten babies?

A team could rank #50 overall on both sides of the ball and still be a contender if the turnover ratio is good enough.

I'll go on record as saying no team of modern BCS era has been ranked in 50's on both sides and won.... The lowest offense to ever win was Ohio State 2002 and they were ranked #70.

Don't you think that the great gawd nicky the awesome would just be salivating over facing a rookie QB?

Don't any of you idiots recall the last time LSU started an inexperienced QB? Put the fu cking comic books down and stumble into the real world.

Jefferson
Lee
Hatch
Perriloux
Flynn
JR
Randall
Mauck
Rohan

all had little experience when they made their first actual start. Now if you are going to argue freshman, sophomore, junior, senior etc it could be different. Or are you going to argue time in the system? By Playing time they were all inexperienced before their first start.

Well, with the way the coaching staff handles matters like this, the only acceptable direction is to keep him on the bench and possibly bring him in for 2 or 3 plays every other game. After all, we're dealing with Crowton's rationale of the unexpected that is blatantly obvious.

What don't you understand about if we would've had a halfway decent offense, we would be in the national championship game now?

You can't be sure of that. Just hold on to your high school level of football understanding, because the real world will be a shock to you.

I don't care about rank. I want to average at least 34 points/game.

We can't be sure that a better offense leads us to the BCS this year, but don't you think it wouldve helped? Are you seriously ok with the offense the past 2 years?
