I'd give the nod to the tournament. I always remember when we win the tournament, I rarely remember who wins the regular season championship.

Tigers were able to accomplish BOTH this year. CPM is a GENIUS and should be considered for a pay increase and a contract extension.

Watching the SEC tournament they seemed to pimp Florida as SEC regular season champs more than LSU as Co-Champs. Winning the tournament should get us more recognition as SEC CHAMPS.

It's just a matter of opinion I think. I think the regular season gets you more respect and prestige. At the same time winning the tourney means your hot and most likely playing your best ball at the most important time of the year.

As others have said the regular season demands playing at a high level for a longer period of time.
Not every team puts the same emphasis on winning in the SEC tourney based on their situations.
Great to win both.
I like that CPM seems to put effort into winning the tourney, and I don't mind the team celebrating winning something.

The selection committee puts more weight on the regular season than the tournament. If Arkansas had won yesterday, Florida and LSU would both be national seeds, but Arkansas wouldn't.
If you're a bubble team, either to get in, or to host, then the tourney can be very important.

I'll say it every year. The committee puts very little stock in the tournament. As long you don't go 0-2, you aren't getting penalized for not winning your conference tourney.

The most important one is the one being pursued at that moment. West Division, Conference Title, Conference Tourney. Now it is the Regional crown. Never get too far ahead of yourself. Stay focused and compete.
