What's more important, SEC the reg season champions or winning the tournament?

Just curious.
The elaborate trophy ceremony made it seem like the tournament was the "real" championship.
We won both, so it doesn't matter, I just see 30 games as more significant than 4-5.
What's your opinion?

Regular season is more impressive to me. But, winning both is strong.

Winning over a 30 game schedule is a great accomplishment.
The SECT is so screwed up by format it's sometimes a fluke.

The regular season is a ten week grind. Tourney is a long weekend.

Watching the SEC tournament they seemed to pimp Florida as SEC regular season champs more than LSU as Co-Champs. Winning the tournament should get us more recognition as SEC CHAMPS.

I noticed that. The rules are pretty clear. Announcers pumping Florida obviously either don't know the rules or were pumping the game they were calling.

I personally think the reg season is a bigger deal. That said, nobody celebrates the NFL team with the best record, they celebrate who won the tournament at the end. So I have no shame in saying that the tournament is a big deal.

You calling the SECT the Super Bowl? The comparison to the end of the season tournament that is so celebrated in the NFL would be the CWS.

Winning the tourney gets you an automatic bids, and all those upsets today is why Carolina will be sitting home next week

I think regular season because it shows which teams are the best over a longer period of time.we have seen mediocre teams win the sec tourney. Also, some sec coaches don't throw their best arms a bunch in the sec tourney.

Winning regular season is more important and more impressive.
