Jason Boland and the Stragglers are playing at Billy Bob's Texas (the world's largest honky tonk).

They are a band that plays Texas Country. Very good band, and easily enjoyable for those who don't like country music.

There is an LSU party at the Lizard Lounge with a couple of Louisiana bands playing.

I have two ticket for sale for the Rangers game Thursday night 14 rows from the field for $100 for both. Sec 35.
I am going but had to buy more because someone else jumped in

We'll be there too but probably doing the upper deck. Already an expensive enough weekend as is.

If you are staying in Fort Worth, go out in the stockyards. Specifically, go to the White Elephant, and then venture over to Billy Bob's for a bit. After that you might try the West 7th Street area if you are in your 20's. As for Dallas, Barley House is going to be a popular hangout. There is a party going on there that night for LSU folks in town, catering to your mid-upper 20's crowd. If that isn't you, try Stan's Blue Note for a few cocktails. An LSU guy owns the place and it is right in the heart of Greenville Ave. If you go out uptown in Dallas, you will be fighting crowds and the proverbial "$30,000 millionaire" stereotype that loves to get thrown around so often. However, you will see good looking women pretty much anywhere you go. The Loon is always entertaining.

There is a Spearmint Rhino near 635 and 35. It is probably out of the way from most hotels where Tiger fans will be staying though. I wouldn't waste your time in any Dallas gentlemen's clubs. They are better in Houston anyway.

Check out Baby Dolls in Dallas.

I quickly forgot how much I spent there when I had my batch party there.

Way better than others....because of what "happens" during the lap dances. Trust me!

Depends really on your age and what type of bars you like.. I live in uptown and it's the nicer bars especially if your single and looking for a nice scenery of girls..... Whoever said to go to Greenville ave either does not like you or has not been on dallas in over 5 years... Greenville is ghetto and sketchy

I would recommend corner bar which is a kinda of an lsu bar, all the bartenders are from LA

Lemon bar
Trophy room
Will be alot of us lsu party goers out all week

Friday night some good buddies from Austin are playing a concert at The Prophet Bar in Deep Ellum.

All of the guys went to LSU and are one of the best new bands in Austin.

Do yourself a favor and make it out...close enough to Uptown to pregame before and party after the show if Deep Ellum isn't your thing.

Wheeler Brothers Band

Prophet Bar

Wheeler Brothers Band-I've Been Around

Wheeler Brothers-Sleep When I'm Dead

Wheeler Brothers-Call Me In The Morning

Busted. I haven't been out in Dallas in many, many years.

But I knew eventually someone like you would come forward and offer some real local advice.

Just had to bait you...

Drive over to Ft. Worth's northside and have dinner at Joe T. Garcia's. Best Tex-Mex around; might try calling for reservations before you go.

Uptown Bars-Corner Bar, Idle Rich, Katy Trail Ice House, Nodding Donkey, The Londoner, TABC, The Loon, Black Friar, The Gingerman, Stoneleigh P

The only place on Greenville I'd go is The Libertine, Capitol Pub or The Old Monk
