What is the "worst" case scenario?

Ideally, we would all like the team to win the NC. No matter what some may say of the negatigers, we all want the same thing.
But let's assume the negative. (It is our-negatigers- way, after all)
Would you rather go 8-5, lose to Bama, UF, a couple more SEC opponents and the bowl game. These losses would all be by 10 or more points. And the hemming and hawing about keeping Miles would continue.
ETA: MILES WOULD STAY ON AFTER THIS.
Or would you rather go 5-7, have Miles be canned and have the school hire a Will Muschamp, Gary Patterson, Butch Davis?
And to the positigers, don't blow your dome. If you don't want to answer then don't. To the negatigers, just answer and don't bash Miles.
And please don't say there's no way this team only wins five games. It's hypothetical.

Would never choose to lose more, just to get a different coach

the absolute worst-case "despair, all the wheels have fallen off" scenario is 3-9
LSU has 3 guarantees with ULM, Vandy, McNeese
The UNC game is big, I think it either sets us on to a nice season or a long season
realistically I think we go 9-3 or 10-2 depending on @ UF, @ AU, BAMA, and @ Arky

I don't want any of those coaches over Miles. The only coach I would pick over Miles is Bo Pellini

Vandy early in the season is no guarantee.

Ok then. Insert coach of your choice. Except for Saban.

No matter how obvious it is to me that Les Miles is not head coach material, I always pull for LSU to go undefeated.

I think it depends entirely on the decision makers and what their thought process is. Obviously, a losing season is never a good thing. It's a black eye on the program and provides tons of negative recruiting fodder for the other power programs. However, my fear is that it will take a catastrophic failure for Miles to be shown the door. That the admin will continue to watch us however around the upper middle so to speak and be comfortable with that. So given the 2 scenarios you present, I'd say bite the bullet, take the losses, and start over fresh.
But i'm still really pulling for a 10-2 run to Atlanta though

And I'm not asking what you think the record will be.
Basically I am asking would you rather continue to be mediocre and retain Miles or suck and have him be fired to bring in a "Top" coach?
ETA: Do those ends justify the means?

Lacour, your hate of Les is epic. The guy needs to earn his check this year but what makes you think for a second we land one of those three coaches?
I know a couple of things are true.
1. Les can recruit
2. Les can get great talent to the NCCG
Those are indisputable facts..
All this other shite about he doesn't develope talent, can't manage the game blah blah blah, is from some tools that will bitch no matter what happens.

It is amazing how so few of you can actually follow instructions.

I'd rather Les returns to early form. Then what beotches?
I love how his record run is now just a myth and according to Ranters it never happened.

You mean you'd like to see him take sure fire National Championship teams and cash in early, preventing said Championship from being reached.
Yeah. 2006. I threw it out there.

I'm a big supporter of Miles (and a proud Posi-Tiger), but there is no question in my mind based on the information that you provided that I would prefer to go 5-7 than 8-5.
The only way IMO 5 losses would be acceptable (acceptable defined as Miles shouldn't lose his job IMO) this year is if we go 9-3 in the regular season, lose in the SECCG, then lose the bowl game.

Then why has his won/loss percentage fallen off as soon as most of Saban’s players graduated?

Uhm…that was Saban’s talent, and Les had choked but got a second chance after WV inexplicably choked and loss a game they should have easily won.

Yeah right…so much for your indisputable facts.
