I am a hog fan. From my perspective (season ticket holder), LSU is not Arkansas' super bowl. You are on the same level as Ole Miss (closest good SEC teams that we can play with).

That said, I feel Les has trouble Arkansas because he thinks he can run the ball down Arkansas throat with occasional play action. LSU quarterback play is not strong enough to beat us in that game.

Additionally, LSU offense severely under utilizes its talent. Don't know if you promised certain players playing or something; but LSU should really utilize the TE position more. Either the running backs and WRs you get; you need a TE or two who can sneak out out and get you easy 5-10 yards automatically. That and you need to recruit better pro style QBs.

variety of factors.

- Win or lose ( a lot of losing recently), LSU plays like crap the game after Bama.

- Arkansas has a solid run defense and our offense is pretty much all running, all the time.

- LSU has had problems with Arky for the longest now. In Miles 11 years, he is 6-5 vs Arky and that's through Houston Nutt, Bobby Petrino, John Smith, and now Beliema. That game has only been decided by more than 8 points three times in the last 11 years. We beat them by 24 in 2011 and they beat us by 17 in 2014 and 2015.

Because LSU's offensive gameplan consists of being more physical at the LOS than the other team. It works most of the time with LSU's talent. But Bielema teams are always physical and stop the run well.

You're not only lying to yourself but you're also lying to this board -- and you know it.

I grew up in Arkansas and for 17 years attended nearly every game in DRS/WM. As a kid, I absolutely adored Paul Eells & everything Razorback. However, I have to say my emotions have slightly changed after attending LSU but I do wish them luck outside of any LSU matchup

But come on, you know 90+% of the Arkansas fanbase considers LSU their biggest rival (& I promise it's not just the rice farmers in the Delta, Kevin Crass hates him some LSU too ).There's no reason to lie about it.

Speaking of adore - Arkansas fans love that Golden Boot. Way more than the LSU fanbase. shite I did too back when, Arkansas takes special pride in it. In all honesty, it reminds me of Durkheim's totemic principle

I'm not lying to myself actually. I've lived in Arkansas and been a fan longer longer than you've lived in Arkansas. LSU is a big game for us like playing Alabama is a big game for us. You guys are usually ranked top 15 when we play... so of course we want to win. Being a neighboring state helps too; but as I said, this is the same with teams like Ole Miss now. Arkansas doesn't have a true rival (Bama/Auburn).

Like I said, Les struggles against Arkansas because we will load the box to stop your run game and make your QB beat us. Luckily, LSU hasn't had a great QB (despite all-everything WRs) over the past few years. Plus need to build in a TE game some more.

I think a lot of times there's not as much to play for and the intensity is down by the time they come around. By all rights we should have lost the last 3 to them. Got a busted coverage go for us against them in 2014 that saved our butts.

Whoops. Thanks--forgot about 2000. In my defense I don't think anyone remembers that game

I stand corrected. The 14-3 loss in 2000 in the rain had been blocked from my memory. Had to look it up.

I put the loss last year on 2 things

1. Defensive breakdowns

2. Over reaction to the Bama loss and changing up too much on offense

Defense plays better and we get back to our regular offense (as boring as it may be) and I think we win

Ooooh, I've been waiting to say this to you;
Saban-sessed

But, to answer the OP's question, this team quits every year after losing to bama.

Hated playing them the day after Thanksgiving. Seemed to me the players always had a Thanksgiving feast hangover. Always been my opinion and have been worried about that every year. And as others have mentioned it's their "Super Bowl" and take the rivalry much more serious and get more hyped about the matchup than we do.

They are built to slow us down and we are beat up and mentally and physically exhausted after Bama.

If this is the reason then how in the hell would LSU make it through the playoffs?

Its a simple Formula.

Arkansas does not like us and wants to beat us more than we want to beat them.

They scheme us really well. Their defense shades to the areas we like to use on offense (LOS, sidelines/deep balls).
