He's probably talking about the out route to Landry for the first down. I admit that I saw the same thing but I think that was due to him just trying to not overthrow that pass to an open receiver. It appeared he had plenty of zip on the miscommunication to Boone. I loved how he looked to throw first but was decisive when he decided to run and had a great burst with an easy stride.

How much more zip did you want him to put on that long ball to score the winning TD? That was a perfect "10" pass.

It was five yards underthrown! With the WR that open maybe that was called for, but don't say it was a perfect 10. Leave that poster alone. All he said was that AJ lacks a little zip. Compared to Mett, that's true. It will also be a big concern for his NFL career. In college, however, the WRs are generally wide open, and zip is not so important. Plus AJ might develop that as he gets into his 20's. Sure looked like a great college QB, though.

Jordan Jefferson also looked phenomenal on his first qb outing. What do we do that makes qbs worse as they progress?

it's insulting for anyone to compare AJ to JJ

I didn't want to mention any names in my OP, but we have had QBs who come into the game, even start a game with, with a scared look on their face. You just knew that they were in a fog and clueless as to what is going on. This wasn't the case yesterday with Jennings. He could have still missed a throw or two, but he still was calm and confident.

I'm pretty confident Jennings will keep in the clear. He's buried into studying game tape, but of course you never know with any college person.

People so worried about a young QB in college football, but if you hit on the right guy they can have incredible success early on. They key is just getting the right guy and having them well-prepared (Cam) Look at the wonders Cam did for even a talent like Mettenberger.. (Night and Day)

This college season has taught me it is harder to replace defensive lack of experience than offensive. Just looking around all of college football and all the young successful QB's.. and seeing the growing pains of LSU's defensively.. which is still incredibly talented and finally starting to get it together..

No he didn't. That's a myth. JJ never once looked good. There were a few games in which LSU completely dominated the line, and JJ was able to complete 50% of his passes. JJ simply was not a QB. I think we ruined that guys prospects by not putting him at TE.

seriously, the only similarity between jennings and jefferson is that they are both the same race.

Jennings is so far ahead of jefferson as a true freshman than jefferson as a senior.

Can Cameron is the difference. I'm confident he will develop our QB prospects well.

exactly. the jordan jefferson shite is absurd around here and again unfair and unwarranted.

not many qbs are even on the jefferson level.. and jennings is his own player.

not sure how many qbs would have lead that offense out from inside one there, even against arkansas.

as i stated before. both jefferson and lee never truly looked natural at the qb position. when mettenberger arrived you could see the difference, and now with jennings i see even more of a qb pocket awareness. above all else.. and this is the most important trait along with accuracy there is in a qb.

Great jog AJ!
Not a very good situation to come into but you came on and you were cool as a cucumber as you took care of business and got the job done. I look forward to watching you for the next few years.

As long as Cam stays, the QB position won't keep us from a NC...but DT definitely could...and LB could...if this years class comes through, the offense will be stunning for years...but defensively, we're just too soft right now...time will tell...
