I agree. Mett gets caught flat footed to often and gets tangled up with the pass rushers. The thing I really like about Jennings is he stay on his toes and moves away from the pressure.

He came on to the field very confident. He knew what needed to be done and he knew that he could do it. There was no "deer in the headlights" look, and he performed perfectly. This will be fun with him as our QB!

I saw this in the Spring Game. He is very comfortable running the ones. He did not get a chance before yesterday to show it but he has a very good "touch" and a pretty good arm.

On another note, I got to see Brandon Harris last night - very similar guy...

I didn't like the lack of zip on his passes... Needs more arm strength or its pick city. Its concerning at least.

Another X-Box genius heard from.

Did you see how the ball came out of his hand and the zip on the pass attempt on the comeback route to Boone?

Or do you only watch completions and 'big plays'? I'm going with the latter as you don't seem intelligent.

Ok. This is good. this is great. We all love AJ now. But I cant help but wonder what this season would have been like if mett had gone down at Georgia. can of worms, opened

I hate when people analyze the way players look. If a couple passes were overthrown, people wouldve said he looked clueless out there regardless of his demeanor

How much more zip did you want him to put on that long ball to score the winning TD? That was a perfect "10" pass.

I know right. I was just bragging on this. He acts like he's been there before and all things considered he was quite tame celebrating because he knows and trusts in his ability. Great mindset he has.

I really believe if mett were in for the last drive that he gets sacked twice and we lose. nothing against mett cuz he did awesome this year but, it's my opinion.

Mett has an NFL arm. Jennings doesn't. But in the game of college football, you want a Jennings. Jennings can throw, run, and think---a big difference from say JJ or Perriloux.

Mett doesn't make that long run, and the D doesn't have to worry about Mett taking off. If Jennings keeps in the clear off the field, LSU has some good O days ahead.

I don't want to rain on the parade because I thought he was fantastic, but sometimes when a player is thrust into a spot, he doesn't have time to get nervous and panic about the results and instincts simply take over. The truer test is when he will have an off season to prepare and know that he is the man. This is a different type of pressure when other teams have a chance to draw up a game plan to face him. I like his running ability though. Having the excspability and the nice touch on his passes was impressive too. We should be in good hands.

I was very encouraged by his play. He was poised and handled himself well, hit his receivers, and escaped pressure very well.

Now, with that said, there is no way you can tell how things are going to go next year over the course of an entire season.

But it looks good from here.

If he shaves his goatee into a mustache like Warren Moon he will have my full confidence.

Jordan Jefferson also looked phenomenal on his first qb outing. What do we do that makes qbs worse as they progress?
