I would enjoy ruining your day, because the stats posted here are just hilarious, but we'll keep it simple...
quote:Lee did not play in the post-season. There's nothing to compare.
So why limit it to the regular season?
quote:Of course they are not the same. Only a fool would try to compare the regular season to the post-season. That's why I did not compare them.
is it your contention that doesnt matter, or they're all the same.

In the three games that Jefferson started during the regular season, LSU gained more than 400 yards in every game. Every game.
Against WKU,Ole Miss and Arkie who were all above 50 in defensive rankings when we played them... Nice try....But the games that mattered MOST....JJ played like shite...... Sorry Facts are facts............

Lee played a much more difficult regular season schedule than did Jefferson

lolz.
Nor did Lee play at the end of the regular season.
JJ didnt play at the beginning of the season, either.
FAIL.

The teams you dimwit. The actual TEAMS that were played.
Fail, again.

Georgia and Alabama both were in the Top 5 among passing defenses in 2011, and Jefferson had three games against them.
The remainder of his competition wasn't as stiff as what Lee faced week to week, but he never faced anything like those secondaries.

quote:And yet, Jefferson did not face the worst defenses LSU played in 2011. In fact, Four of the five worst defenses that LSU faced in 2011 were games that were started by Lee, including Northwestern State, an FCS team.
Against Western Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Arkansas. Arkansas was a good game. WKU and Ole Miss were both horrible teams. LSU rolls both of those teams with Andrew Hatch at QB.
So if Lee faced four of the five worst defenses, why didn't he pile up some big numbers in any of those games? Lee had nine starts. Jefferson had only three starts. And yet in every game that Jefferson started, LSU performed better than in every game that Lee started. In every game that Jefferson started LSU gained over 450 yards. Lee only did that once.

Is it safe to review the following teams with JL (with 10 or more pass attempts)?:
Oregon 10/22 98 yds TD
NWST 9/10 133 yds TD
MSU 21/27 213 yds TD
WVU 16/28 180 yds 3 TD
UK 8/21 169 yds TD (backfoot game, with near INTs)
UF 7/10 154 yds TD (another backfoot game)
UT 13/17 138 yds 3 TD (terrible D)
AU 14/20 165 yds 2 TD (another terrible D)

Do you not find it odd Jefferson's tryout in the NFL lasted 20 min. At least Lee was a competent enough QB to last through an NFL preseason. Lee also didn't play many crappy teams in all the games he started and split time with Jefferson after game 4

Looks like pretty damn efficient QB play. And will you please list the games Lee wasn't splitting time with Jefferson and/or Mettenberger TIA

Sorry I guess I was distracted by all the blowouts to care about how many total yards the offense had

I love how he lists... "near INTs"

quote:No. LSU's offense failed against Alabama. Jefferson completed almost 65% of his passes in the BCSCG. Jefferson did not play well in the BCSCG, but that game does not fall on Jefferson.

He was efficient against the following type of teams:
P5 teams that finished with 6 wins or fewer.
Non P5 teams.
There was no "split" time with other QBs. He played the majority of the snaps in the games listed.

you're right. It definitely was that lazy arse defense. Keeping Alabama's offense to 5 field goals through 3 1/2 quarters while the offense, led by Jefferson, couldn't cross the 50.
