LSU had four, yes four, wide receivers catch a pass in 2014. Once you're finished shaking your head at that tidbit, realize that avery is not one of LSU's top 4 WR's.

Wright didn't catch a pass his senior year and probably had between 20-30 in his career at LSU. Not sure that is a good comparison.

Avery had academic issues and injuries to battle through. He still has time, but it isn't looking good for him at the moment...wish him the best as I do all Tigers.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him transfer after spring ends.

Nothing... Just not that good.

He was hyped up by a lot of people on here because of his last name. But the writing was on the wall with him.

His best HS year was his sophomore year. After that, he never took that next step and consistently dropped in rankings and all that. And then at the UA All American Game, he was said to be the most disappointing player there. He would check in and out of practice and they weren't sure how serious he was about football.

Hearing the same thing at LSU. He has a good day at practice or a few good reps, then mentally checks out and starts just going through the motions and has a bad day. And heard when you get on him, it really effects him and hangs his head and what not. Near the bottom of th depth chart and passed up by all of our young guys.

Hope he figures it out because he's got a lot of talent and ability. Just takes time for some guys.

Just seems like he is lacking either ideal strength or change of direction quickness, leaving him without an identity as a WR.

He has good height and decent speed, but nothing else that really sets him apart. And like others have said, he's dealt with grade and injury issues.

Still time for him to put it together but the depth chart has only gotten more crowded.

He isn't good enough to play WR. Don't look for him to stick around too long. He was hyped up due to his name as a junior and couldn't live up to it. Injury slowed him down. Recruiting too WRs has hurt his chances.

Pathetic when you step back and think about it. 116th ranked passing game in the country.
If we never see Jennings play again for LSU, it will be too soon .......

When he commited I got destroyed on here for saying I wasn't that impressed with his HS film and that I didn't understand the hype.

I'm not happy that I was right. Just not surprised he didn't turn into anything special.

The difference between him and Wright is that Wright was an impact player on special teams.

Hopefully he will find a role, but don't hold your breath.
