What happened with this guy? Does he have a chance of seeing the field anytime during his time here now with guys like Malachi, Dural, Diarse and incoming talents like Tyron Johnson, sorry for the offseason thread, dont be mean to me.

I was excited about him coming out of high school. I doubt he see's the field until his senior year in garbage time

He could be the next James Wright. The writing is on the wall...

Diarse, Dupre, Quinn, Johnson... He's got a lot of ground to make up.

Plays on a team that throws 10 passes a game 4 of which are completions.

So he's only a redshirt sophomore next year?

14 posts and you decide to pick on Avery Peterson.

He is good, but buried on the depth chart. Needs to crack the special teams rotation then eventually be our WR4 or 5.

I don't know if it's accurate but there was a lot of chatter about him not being the hardest worker. It was said through his performance at the UA game through his time at LSU. I think he is talented enough to be a good one, but right now he is behind Dural, Diarse, Dupre, and Quinn. Incoming WR Tyron Johnson will push early. Just not sure the situation will ever present itself with our pro style O, though I'm hoping all of these guys turn out great.

Yeah hopefully he can do well with his limited reps here and possibly make a name for himself in the NFL like James Wright did

I predicted he would be All-SEC this past season.

In hindsight, maybe I was a tad bit too optimistic.

Likeable kid, just not that good of a wr. Many including me saw 4star and the peterson relation and unfairly expected more.

No knock on him, hes just not as good as most thought.

To be fair, there's no way of knowing the pecking order behind the guys who did see the field

I really don't know but he has great measurables 6'2 200lb legit 4.5 40.

Could be like John Harris for Texas. Did really nothing for 3 years (9 rec 190 yards 3 TDs total) then exploded this past year for 68 rec 1051 yards and 7 TDs.

Funny thing is he lined up with the 1's at the first big preseason scrimmage of the year. He had two drops on long throws and was never heard from again.......true story

Classic case of the best man wins the job. He needs to step his game up in the spring and into the fall.
