Also which NFL teams have the philosophy of just lining up and running into stacked defenses, 'imposing our will', smash mouth style or is that not our philosophy.

This doesnt mean our offense isnt a modern pro style offense. It means our coaches ARE CALLING PLAYS TO PROTECT A BELOW AVERAGE QB.we take snaps under center.we have 3 and 5 step drops. When we have a good qb we go 3&4 wr routes. Just because our qb cant execute doesn't mean we run some 1960 offense.we use the same passing tree as every nfl team. Not CALLING PASSING plays doesnt mean we dont run a prostyle offense. It means our qb isnt good and we'd rather punt than throw an int.now if you want to call our playcalling vanilla then fine but our scheme isnt some outdated scheme.

why would i explain it to you when 30 minutes ago you didnt know an offset i formation existed

now you want to switch terms and call it an offset I. An offset I is not an I. Besides who cares about that? What I do care about is the stupid antiquated philosophy of smashmouth football and imposing our will on our opponents instead of playing smart football. Even Bama, the one team in the country who could win the NC playing that style due to overwhelming talent chooses to play smart football instead.

If you have a QB you don't quite trust, yes it is smart. Turnovers get you beat and young QB's make turnovers happen typically.

And playing scared and conservative will result in one bcs bowl game in 7 years

That's not true. I'm just asking for you to compare what LSU ran this year in terms of formations/routes/plays to the NFL "modern pro style offense" you think it resembles. After you provide this info we can further discuss it.

Here is your chance to show all the ignorant fans that don't know shite about football a thing or two. Enlighten us so we don't continue to embarrass ourselves.

Our speciality redzone pass is out of a two TE formation.

Two TE, I-form with dural out wide. We roll jennings out and give him 2 options which usually results in a forced throw to dural or a sack.

Cam Cameron is a disciple of the don croyell offense.

He implemented deep routes because of the rule change with less contact from DB's.

We run on offense pretty similar to the cowboys super bowl teams. Problem is we don't have freaking troy aikmen.
