Key player a hell of a game. Pass defense looked suspect... Run defense slowly improved as the game went on. Even though we only have up 16 (sigh) we looked soft

Still lots of hope for this hire

Donte Jackson looked lost the whole game

Watching replay of game now. Valentine looks completely uninspired to get to the QB.

Punting obviously for the 3rd year in a row did absolute didly shite to help the defense

We look a but slow on stretch plays. Very concerning receivers found as much space as they did.

His defense created 2 turnovers for scores--when's the last time that happened?

Whole lot of hype that didn't mesh up with the product he put on the field. Lots of missed tackles that extended Wisconsin drives, lots of easy completions due to defenders giving a huge cushion

I think our defense played fine. Bailed us out and kept us in the game, I think Adams and donte Jackson were unimpressive.

Looked soft to me, regardless of what the scoreboard said. That was an inexperienced QB that made us look better than we were.

Without the defense we don't score yesterday.

Probably spent most of the offseason working on the new system instead of tackling drills.

I knew it would take a game or two for it sink in. However I thought the secondary looked very good in man-to-man coverage. I think the Defense will come around but they will look like they did yesterday all year if they are on the field for 22 minutes in the first half every game.

I personally think S&C is a problem for LSU the past 4 years or so. Nobody on defense or offense outside Fournette looks to overwhelm anyone. We are consistently outclassed physically and it has been far too common the past few years. Before 2011's NC game -- even games we lost -- it was extremely rare. 2008 being the only exception here but that was a talent problem. That was probably the worst talent Miles had of any team he was here and a couple recruiting classes led to that demise partly due to how Saban left us. I think Tommy is a huge problem for this team that has been overlooked due to Miles.

That said, defense was fine considering how long they were on the field.

Today, I question his judgement after joining this dumpster fire.

Once again the defense did what we needed to keep us in a game we had no business being because we run the most disjointed offense of a supposedly good program in all of CFB.

I agree with this for the most part. We haven't physically dominated any decent teams for a while now .

If you hold a team to 16 points, you should win every game!

In defense of our defense, they rarely got a break. The offense could not manage to give them a rest. As always.

It's hard to gauge. They were on the field for a ridiculous amount of time. Most of that was due to how inept the offense played.

If our offense could have at least been functional, that would have been an easy win.

I think he will be good. First game against a team who knows how he thinks.

They should improve dramatically, but realize that the defense was on the field all day.

The hire will pay huge dividends.

Now, also understand the mindset of a lowly Wisky player versus a big bad 5 star, entitled LSU player.......interesting how without Aranda that they performed exactly the same or better. Seems the Tigers like to think they are special. I hate the Watt effect but that kid was on a fricking mission and carried himself with pride and hard work.

Yeah, but they moved the ball on us from the jump.

Putting it all in perspective I think they looked good. We played the team he just left. They had to have had some idea of what he was going to try. The D was on the field the whole first half. One thing that was disapointing was the lack of a pass rush. We should be getting a lot more pressure on the QB. I think he needs to play some of the young lineman. The kid Oliver from Houston played almost the whole game against Oklahoma and did well. We need to see what those freshman DL can do.
