Laster's question is perfectly legit. The OP implied technology was passing Moffitt by, so what's wrong with asking for facts to back up the assertion? This makes someone a prick? By the way, when I pointed out that LSU was on the forefront of utilizing Catapult's GPS tracking and telemetry as an example of technology, the OP had nothing to say. Posters get on here and post pure garbage all of the time, asking for facts to back up the garbage somehow makes you a prick? I don't get it.

I have read many criticisms of Moffit as it relates to linemen, but what about players at other positions? LSU's players at other positions do not appear to have strength or conditioning weaknesses.

As for LSU linemen, they seem to be pretty quick to acquire the necessary strength and conditioning to play in the NFL upon leaving LSU. Why haven't I heard mention from them that their readiness was due to totally different strength and conditioning regimes from Moffit's?

. I really don't buy that the benchpress doesn't matter, especially in the trenches. I think he has them in good physical shape they're just not as strong

Tommy is one of the best in the business. No one here is in a position to scrutinize him.

Now, with the seemingly obvious issues, it absolutely has to do with availible talent and comparing to 2011 is apples/oranges.

We're all trying to answer questions, but, for example, making comparisons to Bamas dline is more about the talent level......not S&C.

if we want to get away from the explosive strength and conditioning type workout and go to a pure bulk size and strength workout we could do a 5x5 workout.
5 sets of 5 reps of 5 basic exercises with plenty of rest between sets. Bench Press, Squats, Deadlifts, Power Cleans, and Bentover Rows. Go all out every set then allow about 3-5 minutes rest between sets. Get plenty to eat and plenty of sleep and you will get bigger and stronger fast.

During the season we did 3 sets of 5 of Bench, squats, and Pull ups. Some of the guys added situps by placing feet under locker and cradling a weight for resistance. We did this workout in the 7O's in high school. Can add stadiums runs and wheels for endurance if you want to show the coaches you have heart.

No kidding. Leveraging techniques linemen use are not a chest isolation movement.

You made a very thoughtful post, right before the quoted one, defending Moffett. Your foil responded that the science might be "passing Moffett by." You respond "Like what?"

you dont want to hear the speculation on why he may be getting passed up?

That's a pretty strong acquisition that deserves an explanation. Otherwise its just another rantard talking out of his arse.

You didn't reply in the last page so I'll ask again. Do you really think Odell and Trai are the two best Tigers in the NFL? What about PP and Tyrann, ya know the two guys who were first team all-pro this year

As far as look and cut go that's all nutrition, breakfast needs to be a big meal, that's the meal you should have most of your fats, complex and simple carbs...most people skimp on breakfast then end up overeating later. After breakfast the rest of the carbs you eat should be complex carbs, beans, wild rice etc. The only time after breakfast you should have simple carbs is post workout. After about 3-4 pm your carbs should be very limited, dinner should be protein, salads, greens, string beans etc. Carb manipulation is the key... If you want I'll give you my email
