He is young with good ideas on defense and I believe he would do the same on the other side of the ball. I know he does not have that much experience on offense but Coach O does. Think about it.

Who are we bringing in as OC? Are we keeping Coach O and have we struck out on option 1, 2 and 3?

If so then maybe depending on the above answers and how our defense plays next few weeks.

People said the same thing about Pelini when it was assumed Miles to Michigan in 2007. No thanks, do not want a coordinator in their first Head Coaching gig at LSU. Also can't imagine the guy is a "salesman" type recruiter and wouldn't trust him to be able to flip a recruit with his personality. Could be completely wrong, but comes off very professional and not very relatable.

I think we've been pretty gun shy about hiring coaches with no HC experience ever since Archer. While Aranda may be fully qualified, I don't think they'll give him the chance. For that matter I don't think it's all that likely that Miles gets fired mid-season unless we really do melt down. But if that does happen, O would be the logical choice.

At first, i didn't like the idea, but the more i think about it, the more i like it. Get rid of Les and Cam. Let Aranda be interim. Use that as his try-out. I have no doubt that the guy will be the headman somewhere, sooner rather than later. Give him a shot.

How about we keep Aranda as DC and get an experienced Head coach?

I think O should coach out the year. If he does well give him the job. I'm not sure where all the Aranda love is coming from. He has been DC for one game, I haven't seen anything from him pointing to being ready for a top tier head coaching job.
