Welters will be a better NFL player than he was college player. Prototypical NFL Mike LB. High motor kid, plays smart, coach on the field. Displays toughness.

He signed as an undrafted free agent. Sure, once in awhile a UDFA makes a roster but it's rare. Good kid, but Welter isn't going to be an NFL player.

Yep that film that every fan with a lick of football knowledge saw him getting destroyed.

Let me see if I understand this conversation:

Welter gets offered a contract by a NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE TEAM. An organization whose sole purpose is to put the best players on the field so it can win games and make money doing it, right? On salary at this PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM is a coach and general manager whose very economic survival is dependent up making the right decisions. Yet somehow they are blind to what a bunch of fat, boozed up fans with a keyboard know.

Is that about it?

Have you never heard of camp bodies? Hell Jordan Jefferson got a camp invite with Tampa and we know how that turned out.

You realize he only signed as an UDFA, right???

Lots of guys sign as an UDFA and precious few actually make an NFL roster.

Every day that he lasts will be one more day than those "fans" who dogged him out for three years.

all of those things are debatable.

Why did the defense get better when he stopped playing?
There is no way he was soooooooo unathletic that he even thought he was playing smart with great motor, and keeping the defense in good position the defense still sucked so hard with him on the field.
