Not to take anything away from Findley, but Johnson seemed to have a different demeanor out there and the offense really bought into it. Unlike past games where it seemed like we got frazzled, the offense played as one and I think a lot of that had to do with the business-like attitude Johnson showed. He never appeared to get too high or too low and remained focused on the task at hand. His ability to run also kept Florida's defense on its toes, which reminds me of another QB we had recently. Great win! Geaux Tigers!

We definitely DO NOT have us a QB in the sense that Max is our starter next year. If Brennan is healthy it’s going to be a three man battle royale. If not, Finely and Max will battle it out.

The winner between those two will be the guy who advances the most in the offseason. Right now, they are too close to call it.

The QB runs early. And being able to execute the Zone read and RPO makes a huge difference. Brennan and Finley take half of our offense off the table

I dont agree because with max you lose some of that arm.

He vant just bang a seam route down the field for 30 yards so its give and take
Johnson has a great understanding of the offense

Its myles, johnson, finley

Sad that it took o that long to give johnson a chance

You can't judge Finley nor Brennan by what happened last night. The "team" has shown tremendous improvement lately. This is not the same team Brennan was leading.
An off season, spring practice, will present an even playing field.
We should be in great shape next year.

QB has to be a leader on and off the field.

Also the demeanor of the QB, affects the morale of the team.

It seems like Brennan and Finley always have their head down and are pouting...they are not inspiring their team mates.

It seems like Max is more business like in his approach...probably comes from his dad.

Finley played well in one game. Harris played well in one game a few years ago. One games doesn’t mean we have a QB. Brennan was way better than either of the freshman I am not sure the obsession with moving on from him.

I agree that Max does not have the arm strength as the other QBs, but he has a better understanding of ball placement, checking down to another receiver and when to run and when to throw the ball away. He was far from perfect, but you can tell his dad has been working with him. He has a lot of intangibles that I don't see in the other two QBs.

Why the downvotes?
Probably because of “Findley”.

I'm no X's and O's guy, but our scheme seems to require some kind of running threat at QB. Otherwise, it's just inside handoffs to the single 'back. With Johnson, he can tuck it and pick up 7-12-yard runs on the outside. Those add up during a game.

To me it is more Brennan did not handle pressure and was not as mobile. On the downs Brennan had time he threw well and no one doubts his arm talent. He took to much time on his reads and did not get the ball out quick enough.

It is the same team actually less Marshall and Gilbert

In a perfect world with a great OL, Brennan will be a very good QB. Put him at BAMA and he lights it up, with the OL LSU has this year he struggled when the pocket pressure increased, he did not step up and deliver.

Third down conversion was horrible with Brennan allowing our poor defense to defend more drives and less rest.

No doubt our defense is the reason we have 5 loses but 3 of those MISS ST, Missouri and A&M should have been wins with a better offensive execution.

Max shows a lot of poise, also has good pocket presence. It will be a battle for the QB spot next year.

i’m not sure how much of a pro prospect he is with the arm strength and all, but his subtle movements in the pocket, stepping up in the pocket, etc. looks like a pro, a good pro.

even a vet like Brennan, had nothing on Max in terms of pocket pressence. Brennan was escaping into the pressure regularly during his games and would have been sacked 3 or 4’times last night where Max had a completion or incompletion.

Last year's starting QB didn't have a big arm either. He was a pretty decent QB from what i remember though.
