I've said this for 2 months now. It's all going to come down to Harris. Miles won't change anything on offense.
#1 Harris will have to learn how to audible out of the stupid moron run plays.
#2 Learn to have touch on his passes

Funny how you use the last 4 games, but conveniently leave out the one where we scored 56.

I did that because November was the meat of our schedule. Our early schedule was weak (the 3 seemingly legit teams early, Auburn, S. Carolina, and Florida) were not good at all.

Our "real" opponents were in November.

That's why I used the last four games. I don't care that we scored 56 against truly one of the worst defenses in the nation.

It's what we do against the better team on our schedule that truly tells the tale.

Speaking of morons:

LSU has the best running back in the country and you idiots want to throw the ball all the time.
Yea take the ball away from your best player and throw it all over the lot just please you?

It is really says a lot about the mindset of you losers that the OP stars a positive thread and all of you sad little snowflakes have to crawl from your sewers to try to throw garbage on it.

Stay in your cesspools. You stink up the thread.

I will fap if we average a scoring margin of +9.4 more than last year

I actually think it's on the modest side. Remember, we only scored 13 passing TDs and bring back our most experience at WR since 2006. Harris in his second year of starting, Guice in his second year should get more carries. At several times this year (most notably vs Arkansas when Hawkins got injured and the following game vs Ole Miss where he was out and Weathersby started), we had 3 freshman (two true freshman) starting at the same time on the OL.

Let's say Harris gets to 20 passing TDs in 12 games, Fournette goes to 25 rush TDs, and Guice goes to 6 TDs. Keeping everything else the same (2 defensive TDs, 1 S/T TD, 13 FGs) and just adding those extra 13 TDs will increase LSU's scoring from 32.8 to 40.4 ppg.

Put it simply, IMO, that is an increase I would expect for all of these guys. Fournette averaged nearly 2 TDs per game and when Guice was given any decent amount of carries, he showed out. Harris was hurt the last 5 or so games and he was only a sophomore in his 1st starting year. I actually thought he wouldn't have to start til 2016 because he was so raw in high school. The ridiculous amount of WR drops killed him early and injury and pass blocking vs way tougher competition killed him late. I also think limiting his passing early on only made it worse because all of the passing game components (from QB to pass blocking, to pass catchers) definitely needed much more in game reps.

On defense, it's crazy low. Returning the entie DL and even the backups have some good experience, plus we return our MLB in Beckwith which gives us a strong run defense. Secondary 2 deep is damn near untouched which is almost the same as returning the entire two deep on DL. Thornton, Divinity and Anthony are legit OLB prospects and all look like they will get immediate play time and at least one will start. Aranda being here I know that the LB spot will be incredible as he had two freshman starting for him this year and the true freshman was the top tackler on the team. My favorite part outside of seeing Key possibly break LSU sack records, is Aranda going back to man coverage defense. This killed our corners who we recruited to run a man coverage and left safeties who normally wouldn't have to pick up the slack, out of position (most notably, 1st time starter Jefferson). With the experience we have on the entire two deep and loaded recruited class, we should be somewhere in that 16-18 ppg range.

No excuses for not winning at least 11 games next year, none

I hope that 11 meant regular season.

We are the most experienced team in the West by far and the 2nd most talented by far. We also get Bama and Ole Miss at home (our two toughest tests).

Wisky, however, will be a lot tougher than we believe though. We are used to domes in the south US as opening games not near Canada in a wide open stadium. That is an adjustment we'll have to get over real quick.

The game against wisky outside in September should not be an issue. It will be in the 80's most likely. Nothing we are not used to. Just a lot lower humidity.

33 pts per game last year. Not too bad. A much improved defense can create more scoring opportunities. Why not let LF run over people?

The problem is when you can't or barely score half of that vs Bama, Ole Miss, and Arkansas because you only have Fournette as an offensive weapon. Some games even your top rated defense will be on its heels requiring the offense to put up 30-40+ points.

5 games in a row dumb arse....weigh it.

Im confident in this team in every game except Bama. Saban is in Miles head. Deny it if u want but until we actually beat those guys...on the field.....not on paper....its hard to be overly optimistic.
Hell, I'd take 9-3 again if it came down to it...if one of those W's was against Bama.

Not all the time....just a little more competently SOME of the time. Good thing your dumb arse isn't coaching, you'd run Buga slap azz in the ground with 50 carries a game, making sure he blow's a knee along the way or at the very least, runs out of steam half way thru the seaason that when Bama rolls around...he' burnt toast. Great idea!

Bama has owned us the last 4 years. I know it hurts your little feelings to admit it but its true. The fact that we've come close and shite the bed means nothing in the win column. Great for moral victories and all, but it doesn't produce tangible results. Its a hump.....one that we need to get over to give this returning senior class what they truly deserve.
Crawl back in your own sewer shithead.

Actually I believe in a balanced offense 50/50 pass/run. I also believe in not tipping your hand to what plays and side of the field you are running to. LSU's running and passing game are both predictable, and that's why I say stupid, moron, run plays.

Man are you serious? Actually, they are being realistic and truthful. I really dislike this Crowe that would rather stick their head in the sand. Texas Tech had by far the worst defense we played of anybody this year (even before we played them). Tech was giving up 540 ypg and 42.6 ppg before we played them. Had we done worse that put up over 500 yards of offense and 40 points, we would have been lower than the average they gave up per game this year. That is INSANE!

Our yearly opponents are not Texas Tech, it's Miss St, Bama, Ole Miss, Arky, TAMU, and Florida. Outside of Florida (crew of terrible East teams) and the ever awful Auburn defense, we didn't put up more than 21 points against any of the others.

As a matter of fact, we've only gone over 20 points 4 times versus all West opponents the last 2 years which is utterly horrendous. Only 4 times in 12 games have we scored at least 20 points and two of those were against some of the worst defenses in the SEC. We've scored over 30 points once in 12 division games over the last 2 years. Compare that to ANY other team in the division, go on, do it. LSU has finished 5th and 4th in their own division the past two years and it's mainly because we can't score against defenses that aren't flat out pathetic.

It's pathetic we need pro bowl level WRs and a QB that started several NFL games as a rookie and 2nd year player just to have a good COLLEGE passing game.

Well.....using your logic...we have a GREAT running game....what has it gotten us?

AS much as it pains you to consider this, one dimensional teams normally do not win it all.
