Waaaay too early to jump ship. Let's see how O rallies the players these next two games. I was shocked, just like you, by how crappy we played...I realize the offense is still a work in progress with our new OC, but I was floored how bad Aranda's defense played.

Regardless, O isn't being fired after this season so please don't waste your time worrying about his buyout.

I tend to agree with you that he won't be fired, but I wouldn't say it is impossible. If the wheels really come off and LSU wins 4 games, I think it is realistic that he gets fired. Not certain, but it becomes a conversation that people that matter would have.

If LSU continues play like they did Saturday the rest of the year, O will get fired this year, no ifs ands or buts about it

Cheeri-O here.

I'm much more concerned that our offensive line looked BAD against MSU and our defensive "genius" coordinator couldnt make adjustments than I am that O couldnt motivate.

I have no doubt he's doing everything he can to cut down on the penalties, but man we have some issues Bama is going to skullfrick us on if we don't improve. And not many of them fall under O's control.

wow...come back to Earth...unless he is calling an escort service or something else seedy, he is our coach this next year and likely the year after.

So because we can't do anything about it, we shouldn't bother bringing up this as yet another failure on the part of our AD?
Damn you guys really carry the water for the Athletics Dept lately.

There's 12 million reasons why this won't happen.

If LSU only wins four games this year, we'll have the conversation. Until then, if he gets to 6 or more wins, he won't seriously risk getting fired.

If you're beginning from a premise that Orgeron is a good coach, then yes it's totally reasonable to not jump the gun.

Problem is, I don't know what you could point to that would indicate he's ever been a good coach. It's if people are willfully ignoring empirical evidence and you're continuing to for some inexplicable reason.

I could see before this game but losing like this should've been the last straw. He has done nothing to earn the benefit of the doubt beyond this point.

Agreed
This board is going to be miserable after every loss.
Bottom line - O is not going anywhere anytime soon.

You're objective for sure. And I don't think O should be fired. Not at all. But Joe Alleva... yes.
