Yeah don't even worry about him. He does that in every thread he participates in. He just wants to get a reaction and some negative attention.

How full are most of the paid lots? Serious question. I normally get there early, buy a $40 pass, and park by the parade grounds near my tailgate. I stay there until the game so i'm not sure what the parking lot situation is normally like. Seems like traffic issues from posts are:

1. Poor planning
2. Not wanting to pay $40 to park (not saying there is anything wrong with that)
3. Free parking not being legislated properly by police

I wanted to pay my $40- but by 1130, campus had been closed off....ended up on a screwball route and parked in a service vehicle spot in a free zone

yeah, that's stupid.

Easy solution is actually more of what they are trending for:

just get rid of free on campus parking completely. Go to prepaid parking pass model.

Ok. This seems like a bigger issue. The lots shouldn't be closed at a certain time in my opinion. People should be able to pay to park as long as they have the spots available. The parking is sectioned off so it isn't that hard to know how many spots are available.

Is it that they don't give a shite or that it's beyond their capability? I'm usually not a fan of privatizing and outsourcing, but this may be a case of it being needed. Have professionals who do this for a living develop a parking and gameday management plan, and let them administer it. They certainly couldn't do any worse.

The hourly wage guys at the front taking the $40 have no idea how many cars have or haven't gone in. I found this out last year the first time I used the entrance at South Stadium and Highland. I asked the attendant that by my paying $40 I was guaranteed to have a spot. He answered no, but if I couldn't find anything to come back and he could "probably" get my money refunded.

I found a few open spots by the Swine Palace theater, but there's no chance they are keeping count of who is entering and leaving.

I'm reading people showing up at 11:00-1200 for a 2:30 kickoff...You are arriving too late.
Like hell it is! Now, showing up on campus at 1:30 and expecting to be seated for pregame - you might have a point.

You need to realize a lot of us have been going to games for 30+ years, and not real big into the tailgating thing anymore. We're not going to do like the newbies and show up on campus 8 hours ahead of time. We've somewhat worked it down to a routine to show up at a specific time. For me, it's be parked and walking 2 hours prior to kickoff.

This past weekend was just a pure D shitshow because of a combination of factors. But the point is, the shitshow has been slowly but surely getting worse over the years for the big games. Most of the time, it's just bad (for the less popular match ups). For the Floridas and the Bamas of the world, it's in eternal competition with itself to top how bad it is each year compared to last.

I agree with those that think LSU doesn't really care about the solution much less having even looked into the problem. I don't think they really give a shite.

Look, showing up on campus and walking to the stadium 2 hours prior to kickoff should be plenty of time. Take it from me, who's been doing it a loooooooong time that way - without ever missing pregame.

The captain obvious remarks of "just go earlier" are quite comical. No shite? Gee, I sure wish I would have been able to see into the future on Saturday as I woke up, to know to leave the house 5 hours early instead of my normal 3.5 hours early...

Traffic in WBR Parish was a joke on I-10 from Houston. Once I got on the bridge, Google Maps told me River Road was red (no moving traffic) and once exiting bridge you could see it. Highland was fine until McKinley - then just turned into the hood and found a spot at Iowa/Roosevelt for $15. Took 3 minutes once I got off the bridge.

Cheap-asses expecting free spot at Levee or Hayfield at noon for Florida are the issue. Be smarter.

What about the ones that purchase the spot in Alex Box lot for $400/season?

You have more cars, more people, fewer parking areas, and the same size streets to move the more traffic.

Its not the same as it was 30 plus years ago and I don't expect BR to spend a lot of money improving football traffic for six to seven weekends a year.

Buses picking up at four to 6 locations around the city and dropping off at the stadium and a limited parking at the stadium looks the way to go.

Oh, and leave earlier.

This!!!!! I have been saying for several years. Don't let anyone drive on campus without tickets until 6 hours before kickoff.

If you think back a year, traffic was just as bad for Alabama but there were a LOT more fans showing up last year than this year.

I live a mile from the stadium and was on campus early. After 2 hours in traffic, my brother comes walking up and told me he parked at my condo.

He usually doesn't park on the south side of campus because of living in Laffy. It was that bad.

You do understand that LSU is a public college with 35,000 students and a lot of reasons for people to be on campus that has nothing to do with football---right?

I'm guessing your idea is never going to fly.

Traffic issues can simply be solved with a well organized and implemented plan.

It seems like there is never a traffic plan and often appears that various parts of campus are not working together to combat traffic.

2:30pm starts have been much worse for traffic than any 7pm game including Bama.

When LSU plays A&M at 2:30pm I certainly hope people think about arriving early and LSU gets a legitimate plan setup.

My story: Left house at 2:10 sat, got to my friends house at 2:25, proceeded to his awesome couch standing in front of his 42" HDTV, grabbed a cold beer and popped it open a 2:30 , I actually sold my tickets because I had plans, but they got cancelled after I sold them. After hearing about the traffic and heat I was never so happy that I sold those tickets. 5 years of college and 3 years of season tickets, I'm started to get use to the couch and AC with food, clean restrooms, beer, and the wonderful job they do in televising the game. I never know whats going on when I'm at the game compared to when I watch it. I'm not trying to be a negatiger, I do like going to the games, the team needs it, but there is a problem and I am as guilty as anyone of those people who didn't go sorry for TLDR

So some fans are more hardcore than others... You want a medal!!! I personally like games until half than I split for second half to catch it at a bar! I pay just as much as all y'all. You calling me out for not being committed will not change my plans
