exit I-10 at Highland rd, take Highland to Burbank, cruise up Burbank in no time. literally takes 20 minutes to be in the walk ons area from blue bayou

Except this is a lie. I took Burbank starting near the College/Lee area and it took more than 2 hours to go from there to the parking lot across from old alex box.

good point, I wouldn't wish 6 hours of tailgating on my worst enemy, much less fellow tiger fans

I guarantee that people were walking from past Brightside....

saw the same sort of thing on Highland...and BRPD had Highland closed off when you could enter campus...

lets not compare furman at 6pm to florida at 230. you do not have to get out there 6 hours prior to furman to avoid traffic. you just dont.

I ride a bike to campus.

We bring bikes when we stay downtown BR... take the levee all the way in. Hard to beat.

Airline is pretty quick.

Or just take the interstate to Louise exit and loop around.

I come from NOLA, so I don't drive through the ghetto, except for a breif moment near Gardere/GSRI, but there are always other ways so long as you don't be a dumbass and get yourself stuck on River Rd or Nicholson, where there are very few options once you are already stuck for being an idiot in the first place. Perkins Rd, Highland and Burbank USUALLY move pretty well on gameday coming from the south, so long as you don't try and get to the game 2 hours before kickoff

Could this explain some of the empty seats? Don't understand how the city Fathers could allow this. I mean, doesn't the gov know best...about everything?

I'm not giving away my secrets, but on Saturday I left NOLA at 10:30 & I was sitting at a table at Varsity at 12:30 with food & a drink. I do not have a parking pass & I do not have any special privileges.

If you are stuck in this kind of traffic and you can't figure a way around it you either don't know your way around LSU/BR or you have never heard of GPS.

true that. I think the problem has less to do with shitty cops and $40 parking, and more to do with most people being idiots

Here’s the answer…

I think in the near future, game tickets will be mailed with a perforated parking slip attached. No additional charge, it’s attached to the ticket provides access to standard campus parking comes with the ticket. (Of course, you can pay to get access to the premiere lots that currently exist.) As you enter a lot, the attended removes the perforated parking pass.

If you don’t have ticket, you’ll be the one walking down Burbank not the actual person that has a ticket and is just trying to get to the game. LSU will do this when they realize people trying to get to the game can’t make it due to congestion from people that never planned to go in. Those without tickets would carpool with those that have them rather than driving their own vehicle; or they can walk…..

Yeah, every ticket having a parking pass equals a lot of parking passes, but I’m not giving a bunch of people my game tickets so that they can get in and then having to chase them down to get my game ticket back once they are in the parking lot. I have 8 tickets and would use two parking passes; the rest would go unused.

I don't know about pre-game but post-game they have Louise blocked off.

Police started doing that crap quite a few years ago.

I agree 100%.

If LSU wants to fix the empty seat problem in the stadium, this has to happen somehow.

Makes almost to much sense.
