They put in bigger players with intent on running the ball more, which they did. We kept our same defense in expecting more passes.

Eh, little more complex than that (talking about #1)

FSU lives off the counter, they run tons of plays off that general scheme. They tried to run it all first half and Wingo (being the beast that he is with an incredible first step) was shooting the gaps and neutralizing that for the most part.

FSU went to locker room, and said okay let’s adjust, they switched to a two back look which allowed for another down blocker to commit to Wingo and we did not adjust for that. Had he, the run would’ve been much more of a non favor, could’ve committed more to coverage. My point really isn’t that we went light (nickel) it’s we got out schemed.

House should’ve picked on all that, he did not. At least not quickly enough. The good news is we get Smith back and it’s going to make a huge difference.

If you are going for it on 4th down... you are either in desperation mode or you are on a great place on the field. The risk is very low in those situations, but the reward is high either way. Kind of sums up his whole game. Low risk/ low reward game. What does it matter what fans or Tigerdroppings say about him? Good QBs do not take sacks on 4th down. Just another example of why he will never play at the next level.

I know you have been around and are not as stupid as many of the posters that are on here the past couple of years. Why so much focus on JD?

He is down the list a good bit on why we lost. Receiver play, interior Oline, Dline (outside of Wingo), defensive scheme, half-time adjustments, lack of pressure (outside of Swinson, Perkins, giving up in Q4. The focus on JD is over the top.

Nope. Everything was because Nuss wasn’t playing. If he had started, we’d have won 160 to 0. He would have thrown for 7000 yards and 999 touchdowns. The last touchdown would have come from him sacking their QB causing a fumble that he Nuss picked up and ran in it himself.

Same reason KC got beat last night by the Lions, coaches favor speed over good hands at WR.

Wrong.

#1 was coaching and game plan. Bottom line.

And I like BK

LSU def had more drops than FSU. Lacy had more drops himself than the entire FSU team.

If you think FSU did a nice job with offensive gameplan. Alot if teams in SEC have better offensive minds. FSU just had the players

not many ranters will disagree with this statement. you supporters at all costs types don't seem to understand that you can't chase championships with a good qb anymore. he's got to be very good with flashes of greatness, at a minimum.

this team has too many deficiencies to even sniff a really good season without a very good qb.

No. Root cause was being beat on the LOS, mostly on O.

That is ridiculous. The man is just not capable of doing what he needs to be able to do on the field to compete at the level he's being asked to.

No hate involved. Just observation and deduction. The coach is who is really at fault for being stubborn and not benching him and doing something else. It's not Jaydens fault.

Conversely, a bunch of ya'll sure do hate Nussmeyer.

See how that works?

OL didnt dominate but they won enough times to give us a chance to win. DL was actually good...didnt dominate but did enough.

What about FSU’s dropped balls in critical 3rd downs? There were several.

If we’re gonna play woulda coulda shoulda, you have to do it both ways.

You are correct ultimately. That is why the same coaches win year in and year out. Their attention to detail far surpasses that of the LSU coaching staff.
If one watches some of the bonehead plays by our Oline
it is easy to understand why attention to detail is just not there. Same with our RB's running head down into a hole rather than jump-cutting or spinning out of a hole running to daylight. I'm not sure our RB's have ever been taught to run to daylight...but just run into the hole designed regardless of what is happening in front of you. Hellaire was successful just of this reason, and he made our OLine look way better than it actually was. We need more of that ...and oh yeah, it would help if we had more than one running play. What a antiquated offense we run....good grief it's weak.

Throw an interception..

Ohhhh no Nuss might throw a 50 yard INT on 3rd and long, can’t have that. Much better to throw a 3 yard drag on 3rd and 7 and then punt it 45 yards
