Amen. I wish we would glue the gas pedal down to the floor when we are stomping someone. you have to make them quit. LSU would have gone up 28 or 31-0 in the first half, Aub would have opened up a can of quit. Les kept them believing
Agreed.

Gotta love how Alabama folk just make shite up and run with it. I'm sure they devoted a whole hour to how Les "was pissed" at Malzhan.

I think that is scheduled for Tuesday.

"PAAAAAWWWWLLLLL, MILES DONE WENT FULL PETRINO ON GUS."

Was Miles really upset that an opponent kept trying to win?

Mad, no. Was the fake FG a direct response to the onsides to start the second half...you bet ya

The one thing I learned about the game more than anything else is LSU will dominate Auburn as long as Gus is driving the bus on the plains

Didn't look like there were any issues between the two in the post-game hand shake.

Haven't had much time to revisit the game yet, but I had forgotten about that kick and this makes much more sense to me now. Was scratching my head for a good while about why he chose to fake it in that situation and you may damn well be right.

Just more butt hurt from Gumpland. It never happened. Say what you want about Miles, he is always a gentleman.

Mahlzone was manic doing the shaky shaky pointy pointy roly-poly hand jive shite all game long ...

it seems like auburn, no matter who's coaching them has more sideline signals that baseball teams. i wonder if they could be stolen.

This,

I saw nothing that would lead one to think Miles was pissed at anyone. The game went exactly how he likes them to go.

I don't get all the LSU butthurt over it.. you had a big lead and yeah, 3 points would have been beneficial, but a TD there was the dagger in the heart so many LSU fans now want.

It didn't work, Les may have felt a little bad and eased off the gas. Each time we did, they pushed back but when we needed to make plays we did, and thats how you win.

Stats belong in a vacuum but LSU controlled the game

As fun and endearing as the "Mad Hatter" was, I think I prefer good ol' Les with his ground it out and wear you down approach. Having Cam open it up with an aerial attack is gravy and IMO, just as fun to watch as the trick plays.

Leave the trick plays to overmatched teams like Boise St v. Oklahoma

One of the things being said is that Miles was mad at Malzhan for running the hurry-up and going for it on 4th down late with a 14-point deficit.
Les has some sort of compulsive / irrational behavior about running a boring game when up a few scores, but even he isn't this bad.

(right?)

He's been this way for a while...remember the fake punt vs Miami in the Peach Bowl?

I agree with keeping the pedal to the metal. 62 to 0 is enough in every game is okay with me. However, you have to rotate freshman and RF in.

They talked for a minute and midfield, Les told him he was doing a great job, then started to walk away and turned back to Gus and said, "Win the rest of them."

Seemed like typical coach talk to me.

I also doubt. For me it seemed as if Auburn was in give up mode b/c they couldn't pass. Then they hit those long passes, which we had good coverage on, and things fell in their lap. Other than that I felt like AU could only run and had zero chance to win.

Didnt appear mad on TV. Although he said something as they walked away from each other, it was awkward. Not sure what was said though.

I saw that and replayed it. They shook hands and as they were walking away, Miles told him to "Go win the rest of them."

Why the hell would he be mad? Auburn didn't and shouldn't quit. You NEVER ever quit. You play till the clock reads :00.
