Play action worked all frickin nite... All les had to do was let met get under center, and hand the ball off. Thats the great thing about play action incorporated into the game plan...! It keeps the defense guessing. Once ware lined up in the backfield the defense didn't have to defend play action pass... Les helped Bama out with the ware cat call!

ForeLSU, I don't care what you call it, it cost you a chance for a national championship. Dumb play call.

I wouldn't have a problem with this.

I don't think Ware gets the burst from the snap that's needed to push the line. And, I don't think he's quick enough to run a dive from the shotgun off a direct snap when the defense knows it's coming.

However, Ware in the open field with a head of steam, bulls-eye'ing a helpless defender,

This is what I hoped they were going to run out of the formation...

The toss to Ford would have worked too. They were all inside on the play and Ford would have won that race to the outside.

If they would have pitched it to Ford ala TA&M I think Ford gets the first down. If not walks in.

Bama had 60% of their defense stacked up the middle

They should give Ware a little leeway to audible that play. It seemed like a simple read

I wouldve liked to see the fake dive pitch out to ford. Seems like it works all of the time

On that drive or the drive after, a toss to ware where he throws would have been game over. They were not playing honest at all it would have been easier than the AU 2010 play.

From where I was sitting in the stands, the flat, widened angle I saw Ware take after that pitch, I even mentioned it to the person I was at the game with, that, that play was a set-up play to see how the back end of Alabama's defense would play against a pitch to Ware.

I'm not sure we were ever really in a position to run a half-back pass off a pitch sweep though after that.

Easy to say we were now, but, we also don't know if the 'Bama defense showed Stud/Krags what they wanted to see to have confidence to risk a gamble like that.

kick the field goal...

if it is kick there and for the fake that is at least attempting to get 6 more points, then the td does nothing
bama would have gotten the ball with 1:30ish left down 23-14
we win...
