Anybody remember this,

Mike roaring in the stadium
Everybody on their feet going nuts
Every seat taken, even at the end
Players feeding off of the passion and energy of the fans!

Can’t believe this was 15 years ago. Gave me chills watching it. What do we need to do to get Death Valley back to it’s glory days??

I mean, anyone who was at that game would tell you that it was one of the top 5, if not the best, game in tiger stadium over the last 20 years. Games like that don’t come around often. That’s not the standard your average game should be held to

It’s a damn shame we gave up bringing Mike to games. How awesome was that opening lick

There have been a few games like that game since. The 07 FL game. Hell this years Bama game was pretty badass the first quarter and a half. You,re never getting Mike back in the Stadium and it doesn’t have anything to do with Alleva.

You honestly don't believe the atmosphere for Bama matched that?

They didn’t give up. The vet school said it caused Mike too much anxiety.

I still believe that was the loudest game I have ever been to.

Certainly not rice, but 2-3 major conference games a year would be nice. Maybe I’m just nostalgic, but it just seemed different back in the day.

I concede the fact that mike is never coming back, but it sure was cool when we had him in the stadium!

We had 12k more fans at Bama and UGA this season than we did any game 15 years ago.

So Mike can’t do his roar thing. That would be cool but we ain’t going back to that.

Tua said they had to go to silent counts because they couldn't hear anything. He said it wasn't just loud for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd series, but all the way until some time in the 4th quarter. If we would have had any form of offense or aggressive instinct on offense, the place would have exploded. But E and O let the fans down.

We can do absolutely nothing.. those years were a perfect storm. It iscombination of having legitimate national championship aspirations, being starved of good seasons and national recognition and a great stadium. So unless you wanna go through the dark ages of LSU football for decades your just going to have to accept Death Valley for what it’s become. That’s the price you pay for being a perennially good team. Without the bitter years the sweet years just aren’t as savory.

Death Valley still gets up for big games. UGA, MSU, and Bama for a half, were as electric as any game in the last 30 years, with the exception of a few (UGA 03, UF 07).

If we scored and were competitive w bama this year, the atmosphere would have been record level.
