Most Important stat is that Jennings is 4-0 and stepped in and won an SEC game also.

Two Big wins on a neutral field. And two very solid performances at home against teams he should beat. And composure to beat Arkansas in the clutch.

Those statistics are all that matters. Also he throws the ball great and doesn't make mistakes and has shown progression.

Style points are definitely back in the new system with a committee picking the playoff

form over substance. I can see LSU and the SEC getting screwed because we lack "style" points. maybe some committee nerd (who doesn't know shite about football) saying something like "yes, LSU has the same record and plays in what some say is a tougher league but Bumfrick U's offense has more yards and their QB has a much higher rating." never mind Bumfrick doesn't play anyone.

That fried chicken does look good enough to make anyone dance. I say you did the right thing, looks like far more fun than reading, and a million times more fun than writing. I am truly sorry you clicked on this post because you see you were not my target audience. Don't get me wrong, I am sure you could really add some insight. The Rant is just that a bunch of bloviating rantards just airing it out, because they cannot dance and eat chicken at the same time. Great Gif!

You seem to have a lot to say, but very little knowledge.

kneel in Victory to respect the opponent. I think he started doing that last yr in one game with about 8 minutes left on the clock and it humiliated the other coach.

That was in 2011 against Mississippi with 5 minutes left and the Tigers up 52-3. Les gave the ball back to Nutt who proceeded to run the clock out with 8 straight running plays, my friend, but then judging by your join date: Member since Dec 2013, you probably didn't actually see it happen.

The problem is that the HUNH air raid spread option offenses are recruiting magnets because they are winning and the top Div 4 & 5 HS programs are all spread option HUNH and they want to play for programs that highlight their offensive skills. It is a trickle up effect all the way to the top NFL

Were you awake for the last four NFL drafts? NEWSFLASH: 9 Tigers got drafted this year, including two WRs and a QB. LSU leads the NCAA for players in the NFL.

LSU ranks in the bottom 25% in scoring and style

...and in the top 1% in wins. I can't believe you expect people to read all of your drivel.

GTFO.

I haven't read the entire thread but has anyone pointed out that this comment is incorrect?
quote:

Jennings' best performance in game 2 was not eligible for a Passer Rating (RAT) because he had only 13 Attempts. The NCAA minimum is 15 passing attempts per game for a Passer, any Passer to receive a Passer Rating (RAT) for a game

And that the original discussion was about an entirely different stat anyway?

Pretty much. "Jennings sucks and Harris is awesome because QBR and RAT. Never mind how little Harris has actually played."

Note: To qualify, player must have played in 75% of his team's games and have a minimum of 15.0 pass attempts per game played. (posted at bottom of Rating Chart)prior to Game 3:

Kenny Hill has the highest QB Rating (QBR) in the SEC at 93.9 (3rd in the nation) which you would expect since he has the highest overall stats, followed by ALA (Sims 90.0) and AUB (Marshall 80.1)

so explain to me under your formula- how is this possible?

week 1 Auburn
starter J. Johnson 12/16 243 2/0
off the bench NMarshall 4/6 50 0/0

Through week 2
JJohnson 15/20 277 2/0
NMarshall 14/25 151 1/0

So under your formula how is Marshall 3rd in the SEC when he isn't even the best on his team, not to mention he is ineligible under your own guidelines??

That also disqualifies Harris and pretty much nullifies OP's argument against Jennings. Lots of words to say very little.

Because the op doesn't understand the difference between "per game" (average) and "minimum per game". Jennings only shows two games because at the top of the chart it clearly says "Passing - Games vs. FBS (I-A) Teams Only".

I don't see why they just don't have a playoff with conference champions.

if that were the case, then we should join the Big 10 or Big 12. Defintely wouldn't want to stay in the SEC.

Damn, I think I saw QPQs first post and asked him to post more. Clearly I was drunk. This verbose self proclaimed statistical genius that comes here to enlighten the ranters with his infinite wisdom and superiority needs to learn the meaning of a concise and succinct use of the language.

Give me an effing break and make a precise point. What does either of our QBs rankings after three games really mean to the next game. OMG Jennings ranks 7th in the RAT in the SEC at best. Thank you for your brilliant insight.

If he is still awake, I'll anxiously await his reply which will be the length of a short story.
