I always blame Les after a loss. The diff with some fans is they give zero credit for 102 wins. Think about that. We can lose 2 more games and he still averaged over 10 wins a year. But hey we will beat tamu and the hater will crawl back into their hole til next season.

I don't agree at all. if I had to place the blame on who is responsible it would be cam Cameron.

our offense is dead. we have a serious qb problem and have tried, with minimum success, to overcome it. we have looked good in some games (example, bama) even with our moribund offense.

it may be too late to correct this year but, imo, we need to either change offense identity or reaffirm what we're doing and get someone new at qb.

our scheme is not the problem. our inability to pass effectively is. it starts with the OL and QB. on TV we cannot tell if our WR's are getting open or not so maybe they too are a problem. I know dropped passes have been drive killers.

lastly, this offense did not want to play this game Saturday. they were "spent" after the bama game. add two OL injuries and a qb who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn nor find open receivers and boom, we get shut out.

all I can say if i'm les miles, cam camaron is "on probation" for the next season.

LOL man, I actually live in lower Alabama. Bama fans are absolutely obnoxious. I hate Bama football because of their fans. But we eat our own-always doom and gloom-always someone is just not good enough. We whine constantly. We are brutal in our criticism of players and coaches.

IMO, these two are inter-related.

And you should. After LSU hangs 6 points on A&M and loses, your feelings will continue in its unsettling ways. The program is done. Les had fricked it up and until he leaves, will continue fricking it up.

Agreed,

We'll lose to the aggies and it'll be official.
Miles should do what's best for LSU and bow out gracefully.

The '93 game vs Arkansas was worth forgetting. Chance at the Carquest Bowl (I think?) and three Razorback RB's ran for more than 100 yds each. Those were some tough years to attend LSU football games.

Les Miles was one TE drop away from losing to Florida. And then one play away from beating Bama. His coaching ability is quite the mystery.

It think our biggest worry going forward is how are we going to attract a
5 star elite QB or WR with this years anemic offensive play. Just sayin-----

I think the fanbase as a whole needs to decide on what is acceptable on average. If they are ok with 9-10 wins as the peak season, Les is more than capable of doing that. On the other hand, the sample size is big enough now to show that Les cannot recruit and develop a QB good enough to challenge for titles. 2011 was a fluke because the defense and special teams that year were once in a generation. If the 2011 team had any other defense from Les' tenure, the season would have been similar to the other Jefferson QB'd seasons.

Who hired Cam Cameron?

The offense has basically looked the same over the past number of years with 3 different offensive coordinators. Obviously, we had a much better offense last year, but even though we were completely loaded with offensive talent, the offense still didn't finish where they should have with all that talent. Here is where we have been ranked in total offense at the end of each year since our NC in 2007.

2008 - 55th
2009 - 112th
2010 - 86th
2011 - 86th
2012 - 87th
2013 - 35th
2014 - 90th

Crowton was OC 2008 -2010, Studrawa was the OC in 2011/2012 and Cam has been OC from 2013 to present.

Our offense has been consistently bad at moving the ball. We've had a pretty good offense about once every four years from 2007-2014.

Total offense is the wrong metric to use. Scoring offense is better. I don't need stats to tell me our offense has sucked in every season recently except for 2013

The only time I can remember it being close to this bad from a fan enthusiasm perspective is during the last stages of the Dinardo era.
While we're on the subject, it would be interesting to speculate how Miles would have done if he came to LSU after Dinardo's 3-8 year.

Then don't tell me what metric to use if you know our offense sucks already. And I disagree with you because in years like 2011, our D set our offense up with easy points just about every game and they barely had to move the ball.

Big EZ-thanks for the summary. A change in the OC has not affected the overall performance of the offense...NO IMPROVEMENT

OMG, all you empathic little Terran Candy A's and your "Feelings of Remorse" for the 4.5 million dollar coach and his 1950's offense being quarterbacked by his single threat athletic QB's that can really run fast.

Right on! In my years of working with teachers, business leaders, et.al. I have NEVER seen a man in a high leadership position look so disappointed and dejected. His post-game comments were horrible to watch. He seemed so sad and angry that he was near tears. We do have a problem.
