You just can’t understand. The Hogs hate the Tigers. You may not give a pigs arse about em but we are their Bama. If you’re wearing purple and gold and have a seat in the outfield (hog pen) buckle up. The hype up here for this series is off the chain. Geaux Tigers!

Same can be said for Lafayette. Deserved or not, the hate is real.

They are the competing against the DEFENDING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, so yes, they should be hyped with the staff they have assembled this year.

Never had a bad experience with a pig fan though. Figure it's bad enough they have to live in Arkansas, so I give em a break.

The hate out of Lafayette is a small, vocal group. The hate is blown way out of proportion.

I went to UA for undergrad as an LSU fan and always wore my LSU gear at the baseball/football games. It really wasn't that bad; Hog fans are pretty tame from my experiences in the Hog Pen. They're passionate about their team, but I wouldn't say it's hostile for opposing fans

I spent a little time in Russelville ar. You are correct. Never seen that much hate. If you have an LSU hat or shirt and they keep seeing you. They will get their frick LSU shirt out of the closet and come around.

I mean, I do not believe that to be true at all. I have plenty of friends who are LSU fans and especially in baseball, it seems to be a mutual respect type of rivalry. Arkansas just has not seemed to garner good enough luck to win it all yet.
The hype would be much better had LSU taken care of business the last two weekends and this was a #1 & #2 matchup.

Everyone has their bad apples of fans, but for the most part LSU fans should be fine in the Hog Pen. There may be some chatter here and there, but nothing to be concerned about.
Most of our baseball fan base isnt new blood...Most all season ticket holders have held their season ticket packages since the mid 1990's when Baum was built. So as far as the baseball fan base goes, there is not a more hated team than TU.

Go to enough away games and you will quickly realize if it’s a top 10 game the fans are amped up, and the down years most of them are cordial.

It is really not. The diehards are passionate, but most people in Lafayette are LSU fans first. Even on campus, you see people walking around with LSU shirts.

When you have success like LSU in multiple sports, they envy that. They envy LSU's titles in baseball and football.
They can one up LSU in hoops but that's about it with the one natty.
It's why they want to beat LSU so bad in football and baseball.
Problem is LSU fans could care less about Ar Kansas.
LSU has bigger fish to fry and even when LSU loses a game to Arkansas it doesn't stop LSU from it's ultimate goals.
Baseball is the one sport where the Arkansas series really doesn't matter and the only games that matter is if LSU would have to play Hogs in Supers or Omaha.

You might not believe it, but it is true and you should poll your friends. I moved to NWA when I was in 6th grade and over the last 15ish years I have never experienced a worse fan base. The general Arkansas fan will go out of their way to talk shite about LSU anywhere & any time.
It is the same situation Arkansas fans are experiencing with Mizzou. A created rivalry game where one side Hates the other because it was deemed a rival by the SEC, while the other doesn’t care.
Editing to saying I married into an Arkansas family, so I am very well experienced in the hatred. There are plenty of knowledgeable and reasonable Arkansas fans, primarily baseball though, although I did get into an argument about the premier SEC baseball team not being Arkansas as they believe they had more post season success.
