Kendall playing the odds with the Big West committee chair. I would be willing to bet with those teams in and out that Tennessee is out so 10 bids for the SEC which is still a new record.

Have to say for how much grief I give him his predictions look alot like mine even the regional pairings other than I have CP matched up with Oregon State, TCU with Ole Miss.
Also I'd probably have the Big West getting 5 in. The chair is the commissioner for the Big West. Sucks for Mercer I have them just out as well.
Agree that Rice will get the "regional of death" if there is such a thing this year. NCAA has been salivating over Tex/A&M and Rice would be a good place to send them.
Seems like LSU/Rice would be the likely pairing but as pointed out previously the #1 seed matched up with LSU doesnt have a good track record.

Could be similar scenario to 2004. LSU and Rice matched up and LSU/A&M super. This time we wouldnt have to rely on Rice to lose to host the super.

We are a 7 or 8 National Seed
We will host a Super Region with odds being Rice or Texas meeting up with us. Assuming we get out of our Regional.
ETA: Rice looks like they got screwed if those projections hold up. They get A&M with Texas and have to go to Baton Rouge for a best of 3 series to qualify for WS.

Not to mention they had a case IMO for a national seed...then to get that regional and then a potential trip to Baton Rouge...tough draw for them if that's what it ends up being.
