I wish the rivalry would continue, but Tulane, by leaving the SEC and openly de-emphasising athletics in the 1950's, are really the ones who killed the rivalry.

i still think dooley is steering la tech in the right direction. they would be bigger draw than tulane. a tulane game doesnt even have an upset draw.....i dont see it happening the way their program currently stands. now tech could get alot closer. louisiana has too many colleges btw.

How bout this. Tulane schedules out of conference against St. Aug, Destrahan, John Curtis, and Brother Martin.

This should finally raise some interest, sell some tickets, and get some people to actually go to a Tulane game in the dome.

Of course, even against these high school teams I expect the Greenies will get their a$$ kicked, but it should at least be more competitive.

Please! They are no more legit than Tulane, ULL, or ULM! They just think they are a big time program and that is a joke!

I agree with this. We go from subsidizing Tulane to Tech.

According to an article on Tulane's rival.com site, Toledo is quoted as saying this is the last year of the series and he is fine with it.

Tulane will make out well with the buyout. LSU was rumored to have to pay in the range of 1.3 - 1.5 million.

Greedy Louisiana State. What about the rivalry; the wheelbarrow races? Go ahead and bring in 1AA patsy’s so you arse-clowns can leave at half.

Go VANDY

How about we keep Tulane on the schedule, but charge their fans twice the ticket price, or make their fans buy a "package of games"

Toledo can blame his own admin for causing this. Tulane has bled the LSU fans for years.

Screw them

This would be a good idea if they actually had fans

Or on the grassy area at the Audubon Zoo. At least some of the zoo patrons might come and watch for a minute.

Greedy? Does the state of Louisiana subsidize Tulane, a private university, enough? Even one dollar of public funds is too much when public schools are cutting their budget.

Enjoy the next few years of losses, assclown. Once we drop you farces from the schedule, the clock starts ticking on the elimination of football (if that's what you call what you guys attempt to do) from your "university".

Loved your fan support in the last game! ESPN nationally televised game and the place was E M P T Y. I hate tulane and I was embarassed for you!

I hope we hang 80 on you chumps on Halloween and then never play you again.....
