I’ll be honest, i liked Finley but Johnson looked like a 4 year senior in his two starts. Needs more deep ball accuracy but the poise, pocket presence, and toughness are not that of a freshman.

The only game we maybe win is Texas A&M because our defense did a good job.

But we didn’t block for shite Vs Bama or Vs Auburn. And Alabama could have scored 80 if they wanted

I dont See what different he makes against Miss St or Missouri.

We beat Texas A&M and Mizos. This defense was just terrible so it didn’t really matter who the Qb was in the other games

False.

The defense is still garbage and oline is still awful. A&M, Bama, and Auburn all kick our shite in. Maybe the scoreboard looks better but they would all be losses.

I am finally satisfied with the direction that our qb room appears to be trending.

With that said I think that we beat Mizzou and A&M but still loose to State(because of the defense); Auburn; and Alabama.
Auburn would have been closer because Max protects the ball better. Alabama is still a big loss.

Brennan threw for 430 yards in that game. Offense, other than red zone play calling, wasn’t the problem in that game

The defense allowed 13 points to A&M.

With cam wire playing right guard instead of Hines and Johnson playing all game vs A&M, we probably win by 2 scores.

Offense was not the issue with Missouri. We win Auburn and aTm with Max. Probably still lose to Bama but closer game. Not sure about Florida as they would have been more prepared for Max if he had already been starting.

False. Auburn and Bama still kick our arse, and Myles is a significantly better QB than Max right now so none of those games are different. Which is understandable considering Myles has 4 years of college experience and Max is just a true Freshman.

I’ll say this though, I don’t think Freshman Myles could have done what Max did.

Some of you obviously don’t remember the A&M game. LSU’s oline couldn’t run block or pass protect. It wouldn’t have mattered if Max was back there, the A&M defense had the oline so confused about where the pressure was coming from.

His mobility would have helped keep a few drives alive for sure against those defenses that were blitzing and bringing pressure every play...

Max’s ability to escape the pocket and his speed would have helped. Plus they might not have sent as much pressure

Possibly could’ve changed the A&M outcome, but the defense was nowhere to be found in the other 4 losses.
