Lots of short memories around here. Don’t think a true freshman in 2 or his first 3 games would put up numbers like these.

Miss St.

Mizzou

Brennan wasn’t the problem in either game. The only offensive problems were O line play and red zone play calling.

People seem to be discounting how bad OM is on defense. Miss St on the other hand had a top 5 defensive team in the SEC.

With that said, we beat A&M with either Brennan or Johnson going the distance.

ETA. Brennan had some nice runs against Mizzou, including the one that ended his season.

True. Johnson needs to continue improving his ability to see past his first read and I’m not a fan of his current deep ball. He’s light years ahead of Finley though. I think NUss is better than all of them though.

Not with this defense.

Results would be the same.

The only additional game we might win had he started was aTm

And don’t say Missouri. That was early in the season and Myles was playing well so let’s not pretend that a true freshman would have made a difference.

Defense and offensive playcalling lost that game

The best part about this thread is that you can see the idiots who think Myles Brennan was the problem.

WE win Mizzou with him and maybe TAM if he came in earlier. Defense was just too bad to win Miss St at that time. If we played them later in year then yes.

I can only answer and comment about Johnson based on the last two games. Any quarterback needs some experience. Johnson has the it factor and has the same in the pocket movement as Joe Burrow did. He feels the pressure but yet keeps his body in the throwing position all the time. Not to mention he can run. So yes and experience Johnson would’ve beat Missouri would’ve beat Texas A&M.
