Horrible? No.

But during pressure situations last season. He wasn't clutch.

ero, and I mean zero, chance of this happening, even if Quinn gets big playing time.

30 balls and zero chance?

That's about 2.5 a game. He'll have two games against mediocre opponents where he catches about 15-16 passes in those combined two games. I'm fairly certain he can get 2 grabs in about 7-8 of the others.

Might be a good idea for you to watch the replay of the Ole Miss and Florida games, both Tiger victories that involved clutch conversions by #8. The poster was right, the bashers are fixated on one game for both TQ and BH.

Quinn was not explosive and looked very timid most of time. I never saw him get separation in man to man coverage. I hate for the kid to get lost in the shuffle but you have to make plays when your number is called.

Yes, zero chance.

Look, I like Quinn and wish he was used more last year. But he did drop a few balls, and once you make mistakes like that, you can disappear, especially with the incredible talent we have at WR.

Even if he get substantial playing time (which I'm not sure will happen), I just don't see him catching 30 balls this year.

You weren't watching very much then. He was almost always running open downfield versus various coverages. And his strengths happen to be route running and getting open. Not being explosive isn't the problem. No matter what anyone on this board says, he showed something to be named a starter as a true freshman and multiple DBs on the team have told me he's the hardest to cover man to man. He and the rest of the WR core will surprise a lot of people with another year under their belts.

Come now. One poster has said that an assistant is saying he is having trouble against press coverage but you are saying the DB's said that he is the hardest receiver to cover. Which is it? I think we heard that last year during 7 on 7 around this time about him being uncoverable.

But the drops in the UA game were a key reason why he virtually disappeared for the rest of the season.

WR position is mirror image of what the RB position used to be like a few years ago. Just switch fumbling w/ dropped passes.

TigerAlum93, don't let these guys get to you. For some reason, Quinn has become a polarizing figure for this fan base. He's a scapegoat for the Bama loss the mouth-breathers in our fan base still can't get over. And to others he's a great white hope.

To the real fans he is exactly what you said. A hard worker, team player, and a Tiger through and through. That's exactly the kind of guy you want at every position, no matter the talent level. The team is better because of Trey and I will root for him and everyone else that puts their body on the line for LSU. I'll always be glad he signed here instead of Clemson or Ole Miss, and by the end of his 4 years you will be too.

hopefully none. He basically cost us the BAMA game with all those crucial drops.

What about the big plays he made against Ole Miss? Florida? The 2 point conversion against Wisconsin?

He made 2 bad plays in big moments. It happens, we all wish it didn't but it does. He'll get better and continue to make plays to help us win games.

Just because he made a mistake at the end of that game doesn't mean he sucks.

One ball. Every offensive play there is only one ball. Considering that LSU completed about 1.3 passes per game, I see TQ getting .03 touches a game which is about 5 touches in 2015.

Well put 93. He is really a remarkable athlete and young man. Not vocal like many of the squeaky wheels out there. He shows up in shape, studied and ready. 100% every play. His game grades was among the highest from what i heard last year.
