Agree. 10.42 FAT 100m should translate to a sub 4.5 electronic 40, depending on how good his start is. Somtimes kids with good 100m times are striders who take awhile to get to top speed. Bottom line is the kid has legit speed!

OBJ is the comp.

Best 200m time I could find on Beckham was a 22.31 in 2010.

Those sub-4.5 numbers should translate similarly for Trey Palmer, but yet his 247 profile page says he ran a 4.51 forty laser-timed at the Opening.

Even if you have elite speed, the 40 time is about technique. You have to learn how to run it.

Jonathan Wade was unreal athlete. He was from the same area that I played in.. I don't remember him going to play college football though.

Check the little shake move Trey puts on a DB in this vid. (at about 40 seconds) Sits him right down on the ground. Sick ability to get open.

Another subtle little move at 1:20 gets him 5 yards open on the DB. Kid's gifted. Can't teach this stuff.

Back in the day, it was 220 yds. It's a stud event - especially when it's the second race of the daily double with the 100M.

Devonta and Trey may be the 2 best receivers LSU has. Hope they know the playbook backward and forward. They could be ready by about mid-season... Florida maybe.

I’ve never been a dick to you, but you can’t be fricking serious with this shite man? Jefferson, Chase, and Marshall are incredibly good. Lee and Palmer will be incredible, but in no way are they the best WR’s we have. Sullivan and Anderson are still ahead of Lee and Palmer right now too if we are comparing who the best WR’s are.

You just can’t help yourself.

It was already established who was on the right.

He was just giving some more info for those curious. I appreciate his info.

Still way too many drops from the core WRs, IMO.

Rohan Davies said the same thing in a radio interview the week after the Spring game.

Let's see how the core WRs come out of the off-season drills. But Trey and Lee will be pushing the starters hard for playing time.

Palmer is going to be hard to keep off the field and that's acknowledging that there's a helluva lot of talent in front of him. He's just so smooth and fast. Makes him hard to cover.

If rivals knew that was his name he would have been awarded a 5th star, no question
