If you wants to really party, walk down Nicholson with some beer. That's where the tailgates get really sloppy.

shite gets ratchet. I walked from Alex Box to inner campus last year for my first time on a gameday and have never seen so much trash/capita.

They definitely enjoy themselves

I chuckle at this only because of the thread about how much of a fiasco the LSU Alumni Tailgate Party in Houston was over the weekend...

I appreciate all the friendly banter already looking forward to enjoying what i would call a check off the old bucket list. As for bedding my wife I have to say that's a big NO NO. However knowing how she can funnel beer, I will gladly put money on my wife if that competition presented itself. Just late 30's early 40's folks who still like to party.

Bunch of trash that has never had a class at LSU.
smh, ignorant arse shite right here. I tailgated in what is now RF in Alex box for 4 years, the Indian mounds for 3-4, the A lot for 6 & now the D lot. Sitting in that grassy arse lot halfway to st Gabriel was just as good a spot as any. And my degree was still as valid

Enjoy it man. I hung out in Huntsville for a week last spring with some buddies. Really enjoyed SHSU. Good times were had at the Jolly Fox and that other little joint right of campus.

I recommend getting some food at the Chimes. At least stop in for a drink. Watch the band, check out mike, watch the team, get in early, etc. Soak it all in. Don't be arrogant and you'll be more than well taken care of. We're friendly for games like this.

I've tailgated everywhere from the parade grounds, to lockett, to the camper lots, to the track stadium lots, and also down Nicholson. Nicholson is by far the trashiest area. Younger kids with loud music blaring profanity, etc.. And I say this as someone who tailgated there for 3 years. If we stayed at our tent it was fine, but as soon as we went for a walk, it was very noticeable. Everyone may be a grad, but it still isn't as nice as the heart of campus. There's nothing actually wrong with the area, just nicer places out there.

If you find yourself around our track stadium go to the very edge of it toward Death Valley, and walk to nicholson. We tailgate there on the grass between the track stadium parking lot. Look for the loud, crazy fans with two big purple tenst most lilely drinking beer from a LSU'ed beerfest boot. We got all the games on satellite, we'll feed ya, get ya drunk, show ya a few of our tailgate traditions!! Serious invitation. If ya need anymore tips or anything hit me up. scott.m.lepley@gmail.com

Walk through Touchdown Village 2 (see map) and look for the big purple school bus with a coffin. Stop by and say hello.

The Plejaren Federation requests that you bring us Chicken Fried Steak dinners from that Truck Stop on the East side of I-45 in Huntsville. Awesome food in their Cafe, especially the CFS's. (NOT the Pilot Truck Stop on the West Side of 45)

The Raddison isn't too far from campus. You could hail a cab for a decent price. Parking and leaving LSU games is quite the debacle so that may e in your best interest.

Also, we have Uber in BR as well. Website quotes $10-$14 from the Radisson to LSU campus.
