we are as talented as any sec team not named bama.

Well, to be fair, our overall record is as good as or better than anyone in the SEC not named Georgia and Alabama.

It's all about wins and losses, right?

We knew BYU was offensively challenged, but I'm starting to think they were so much worse than I thought they were.

Pretty sure they're dead last in points scored, and bottom 5ish in pass and rush yards. With only four games played, the LSU game obviously has tremendous impact on those numbers. But they're pretty bad overall.

We are not the only team that has a lot of new faces on defense. These excuses are getting tired.

ahum! yes, you're correct, and most of them suck as well. just check in with their fanbases.

And next year we will have a young QB and young WR and RB. The excuses made for O are unlike any for any other HC at a P5 program.

"Trust the process". Are you serious the only full-time head coach process O has led to 10 and 25 at Ole Miss!!!

No no no I don't trust Coach O's process I'm hoping for the best but no.

Stop making excuses.

"Mostly" agree...

But Lawrence, White, and Alexander all played SIGNIFICANT snaps.

Lawrence played in 9 games. And White and Alexander were on the SEC All Freshman team.

I was with you until this...

For all Miles flaws, he was very good at this. He didn't give a shite how negative or down people were. When he stepped on the practice field the next day after the game, he was already coaching for the next weekend with joy (albeit with the wrong playbook) -- but what the hell, at least the players were bought in and played with heart.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Look at how his teams almost always played after the Alabama losses. Getting skunked 17-0 by a team that had lost 17 straight SEC games. Barely squeaking by Louisiana Tech. Having to come from behind 31-3 to beat a mid-major. His teams, like most teams, were notorious for being lackluster after a disheartening loss. After losing to Alabama in 2014, the team pretty much didn't show up again until the last game against A&M. Same story in 2015. After losing to Wisconsin in 2016, they looked like shite against Jacksonville State.

Miles' teams were no more or less subject to the emotional ups and downs of a season that anyone else's.

It's best not to get caught up in technicalities.

Bump...still too soon, but maybe we all (myself included) should give this staff a little more time. Not saying I'm sold, but considering Clemson's lost to Syracuse and our back to back SEC wins, maybe Orgeron isn't as bad as we think.

My gut tells me that right now the SEC belongs to Bama until Saban retires and the rest of us are all bunched into second place.
