how's he gonna find time to do that if he's issuing apologies for their play thus far as you suggested the other day?

Taking two minutes to say such at a press conference that is a routine part of the job does not take away from his on field coaching time. Poor attempt to twist things. Be smarter than that.

Except it's not a routine part of his job. Assistants at LSU don't give press conferences in season.

Hell no! They deserve to be judged on the arse whipping MSU gave them.

That's the problem though . It seems that we have regressed since BYU.

Ask Ohio State and Meyer if they are enjoying having an early season "L" on their record because of the defensive talent they are bleeding into to NFL.

Lol.

Losing a tough battle with Oklahoma is quite a bit different than getting the shite beat out of you by Mississippi State.

These constant comparisons of Orgeron to Saban and Meyer as if he was on the same plane with them amply demonstrate why Louisiana is last in education.

You know with whom you should compare Ed Orgeron of 2017? Ed Orgeron of 2006.

His teams now, as then, are poorly coached, astonishingly undisciplined, and quit when the going gets rough.

That all starts at the top.

It's mindblowing that LSU gave this guy his first head coaching job since being fired at Ole Miss.

I'm hoping we do get better. Hell, I'm a dyed in the wool Tiger.

But . . . Other teams get better too. And sometimes guys can get injured. That is what has a lot of people concerned about our shaky start and limited depth and experience.

Also, and with justification, many are concerned - and have been - if O is up to the task. Only time will tell.

Ahh...look at you WayneCampbell. Glad you could make it to the board to point out meaningless technicalities that miss the point. These coaches do talk to the media as part of their job or else you wouldn't have seen the Canada headline about simplifying things.

no, every game counts, so coaches are judged on every single one.

And no, Aranda doesn't need more time because he has new starters. That's just another excuse. That's what spring and fall practices are for. Got to be ready to go every game.

I don't recall any of this "needing more time" after BYU.

Stop with all the excuses and produce. These guys are being paid millions.

That story came from Ed Orgeron's press conference. He said that Canada told him they needed to simplify the offense.

I'm not missing the point. You flat out stated that press conferences were a part of Aranda's job, and that him mentioning his responsibility (I'm not going to rehash that) wouldn't take away any time from his other responsibilities. Since press conferences are not a part of his job, then it absolutely would take away from his other responsibilities.

3 of our 4 games we've looked like dogshit. Even if we play well the rest of the way, there is plenty to freak out about just from the first third of the season.

Yep...you are missing the point and your lack of awareness of it is telling. The point is that he can communicate his culpability to the press and fans, but hasn't. It can come from Orgeron like Canada's comments did or some other outlet. The medium doesn't matter.

Your focus on the technicality is what causes you to not see the forest from the trees and why you will live a mediocre life.
