If I remember right, the other running backs had nicknamed him "Fat Darrel" because he bulked up so much after getting to campus. The weight loss definitely helped with his top end speed. He looked like a completely different player.

Definitely looked lighter to me. Best he has looked at LSU

Yep, I was feeling pretty nervous about having a backup for guice, but after watching him this week, we should be just fine.

He's MUCH quicker and more explosive. Honestly, he looked damn near as good as Guice.

He's been kind of the forgotten man

He was very highly touted coming out of high school. Knowing he was coming with LF he still decided to come anyway. He has been in LF's shadow and now the emergent Guice is doing the same thing. DWilliams didn't ask for a transfer or anything else. He kept chugging. I hope his paytoff is this year and happens in a big way. Dude is deserving and is a real Tiger.

Sure he looks faster but come on the dude is what he is: a serviceable backup who is a massive drop off from guice. Hoping Edwards Helaire overtakes him.

Yes Indeed! He's leaned out, still has power and added speed. He will make an NFL team very happy. And I know it wasn't much time but what I saw from Clyde makes me very happy for the future.

He has been on kick off return before on the back end. Yes he had a solid game in the opener.

Whole goddamn team looked faster.

During the game they talked about it, I want to say the team speed went from 16.something last year to 17.something this year. Considerably faster as a team.

D Williams looks like a man who knows what needs to be done to get paid. He could have an awesome year coming in to control clock and bust heads. He was definitely one of the high points in the opener
