re: Top College Bands

I've seen EVERY SEC band in person and it goes:

LSU
Auburn
UGA
Tenn/Alabama
everyone else

OU was pretty good. Ohio St is prob a notch below Auburn. USC from what I've seen is fricking garbage. Notre Dame was a little overrated but still pretty good. I may be a homer but I haven't seen a finer college marching band than LSU yet.

No Southern, that's a joke.

eh. no. just because they are in LA and get a ton of air play doesn't make them good. They are a garbage collegiate marching band. Wouldn't be top 6 in the SEC. I was actually in TGBFTL. Besides seeing Forrest Gump, what are your qualifications? Suck a dick.

Also with the new additions I'd put A&M in with the top 5 there.

Alabama was REALLY good, maybe 2nd best when I was a freshman in TGBFTL. But then they lost their director. Cory (former LSU grad arse) is going good things at Auburn. Tennessee does their circle drill well but they bore me. I really think Auburn is 2nd best. UGA was really good back in 03 but the last few times I've seen them I was like meh

Everything he listed they've been a part of is because they're in LA. Nothing else. Not because they're worth anything.

Fleetwood Mac? Album recorded in LA.
Pope? He went to LA.
Super Bowl 22? San Diego.

Florida's band is playing at the olympics this year. It doesn't mean they're worth a shite. Although they are getting better.
