If Aranda has a good season at Baylor maybe he'll get more mentions.

Smartest person involved with LSU football since Saban. He could be a great HC here.

Edit: With Woodward's record of going after more proven winners, Baylor would probably need to have a huge season for him to get real consideration.

Napier would be a great hire. There is a lot of risk, but what home run is out there that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg and would take the job?

There aren’t many Urban Meyers or Nick Sabans.

Agree ... and he better not try row the pirogue. That would be even more annoying.

P.J. Fleck was available and could've easily been hired by Alleva back in 2016. (After he couldn't handle Tom Herman and settled on the Captain)

I still want to see how Napier finishes out this season.

I would like to see LSU go after some of the big names, as doubtful as they may be. Such as Riley, Urban. And yes, I understand Urban is in the pros and likely not leaving.

My preference would be Freeze, but I understand why most don't think that would ever happen. At least it wouldn't cost you as much as others.

I also am intrigued by Kiffin, but like Napier, I do want to see how he finishes out this season.

Kiffin is a complete clown. What is the infatuation with that guy? He's just another knucklehead like Orgeron, except he posts unprofessional comments on Twitter, and takes jabs at other coaches. Lsu doesn't need another coach , who brings a toxic mentality. Don't see Saban and Dabo on social media posting emojis and othe juvenile crap. I'd rather have a coach that's going to be a leader, who demands perfection. Kiffin, please. GTFO

Dabo! Give him an offer he can’t refuse like A&M did to Jimbo.

As a Houstonian, frick no. I kind of irrationally hate you for even mentioning it.

The fans here in Laffy will be livid and I’m looking forward to their melt if it happens. Hardcore ULaLa’s despise anything LSU. He might be banned from ever coming back honestly

I believe several Cajuns fans, myself included, has stated multiple times on this site we'd be happy for Coach Napier if he was offered the opportunity and money for his family that being offered the LSU HC position brings.

All you wanted to do was take the potshot. Hope it made you feel better.

Saban isn’t going to allow Kiffin at LSU. He already screwed that up once.

Yea some LSU fans on here exaggerate the hatred that UL fans have. Some UL fans hate LSU. Some don’t care and some like both. I think some of the Cajuns fans would actually like to see Napier in BR and would root for him there.

That was the dumbest write up I have seen yet on possible replacements for O. A list of coaches that have no reason to take the job and likely wouldn't if offered. What a wasted read.

It already has gotten old. And I watched him run the ball 3 times on 1st and 15. He gained about 5 yards on the series. No thanks.

so because he is smart you want him as HC, despite the fact he has run Baylor into the ground. A baylor program that was rolling before he got there?

WTF...so glad you are not hiring.

Seems like the potential HC candidates are better this time around. It's insane to think that LSU couldn't bring in their 1st or 2nd choice. From the outside looking in, LSU seems like a fantastic job. Great facilities and resources. National brand that allows you to recruit all over the country. Only big time school in a talent rich state. History, tradition, and a huge contract.

I will always be grateful to Coach O for 2019. He made some decisions that led to the greatest season of all time. But as great as that season was it's still hard for me to believe that he was hired in the first place. When he was brought in by Miles to head up recruiting I loved the move. Coach O as a D line coach and recruiting coordinator? Hell yeah. But Coach O as the Head Coach? It was such an odd hire.
